A quality hair dye, with quality results!
I love Garnier Hair Color Olia, in the variant Golden Brown.I have naturally medium brown hair. This hair dye slightly lightens my natural color by a few shades, akin to using "Sun In." This product, however, has been very safe to repeatedly dye my hair with. I could use it every two or three weeks with no issues (although, I stick to about four weeks). However, it is also safe if you'd like to mix in "LIW pH mix." I personally used this with my dye - I added this liquid into the colorant bottle and slightly mixed it before applying the dye. This is not required; I do this as an extra step to make my hair softer and perhaps protect it more (and it is a separate purchase, just to clarify). This dye has multiple benefits. The smell is pleasant and not harsh. Additionally, I don't notice much fall out at all. I could leave this in my hair for 30-40 mins, rinse out, and my hair feels like it's in great condition (although I do use a conditioning shampoo and conditioner afterwards.) And with gray coverage? I had quite a bit of gray hair - I am in my mid 20s, so not all gray yet, but a good amount. This dye did cover most of my grays, and now it is impossible to tell that I had as much gray hair as I used to.Any drawbacks to this product? Not that I can think of! I use one box to dye my hair with, although my hair is medium length, which means if your hair is longer, you'll benefit from using two boxes. I have repurchased this product multiple times. I've been told that it's hard to tell that I'm using box dye. This is a great quality dye for the price point, but I cannot guarantee the results you'll receive if dyeing predominately gray hair. This product allows for root touch-ups or full coverage; in the latter case, you'd likely be dyeing your entire head of hair every 4-6 weeks to cover grays, while using a color-safe shampoo of your choice to extend the color.

Finally found a replacement for L’Oréal RR07!
I used L’Oréal RR07 for years and was devastated when they discontinued it. Tried so many different brands and colors and was disappointed again and again. THIS IS THE CLOSEST I’VE GOTTEN! Honestly love the color (though it’s a little wild until you’ve washed it a couple times) and I get soooooo many compliments on it.My only complaint is that it does fade fairly quickly, but I think that is a reasonable trade off considering that it seems to be very gentle on my hair. And it doesn’t stink, which is awesome!I use two boxes as my hair is thick and long, so the two pack is very convenient.

The best of boxed dyes
I have purchased this several times. This is the best boxed dye I have found. Easy to apply, nice consistency, no horrible odor, doesn't give you that "scalp tingling" that most do and gives a great color. I use "Lightest Ash Blonde 9 1/2.1" It is very light, pretty much platinum, but a nice color. I would prefer a color that is a shade darker that is ash, however I don't believe they have this. I have searched everywhere. It leaves a somewhat highlighted look, which is nice. I don't think it is meant to but Im happy with that look (probably just the way it works with my hair). I need ash dye so that my roots won't come out with an orange tone. Even though it is an ash color, it still happens but does tone down after two or so washings. Overall I would recommend the product.

Colors great at first then fades rapidly
I use Olia Medium Blonde every month since my grays grow in so fast now...I love the color of this Olia. Problem is it washes out in about a week. It turns to a much lighter blonde...still better than gray but I would prefer the medium blonde to stay that way. Anyone using Olia and has a bad color result...don't worry it'll wash out in a weeks time. I do like no ammonia and it doesn't smell as bad as others I've used...Oh well not many good choices for those of us who color their own hair. I went once to a salon and it was expensive as heck and didn't not work well so I've been DIY for many years.

Best Hair Color Ever For Home Use
So here's the thing about me......I started coloring my hair when I was about twenty, my grays started at fifteen. I tried for years all the brands in Sally's and even spent a few years going to a colorist (which cost a pretty penny). I've kept up with regular coloring of my hair (every 10-14 days) because my hair grows fast and I hate the bright white roots due to my genetics. I was just too young for that! Fast forward more than twenty years and I'm still coloring my hair but the decades of peroxide have resulted in heavily damaged hair. Thus began my search for a home color I could use that would not contribute to the self inflicted damage I'd caused. And here it is! A color that is just the right shade for me, somewhere between the light to medium golden brown. Opening the box it's clear this isn't the run of the mill box dye. The glove fits and the bottle has plenty of product for my medium long hair (so many of the cheaper options really skimp on the amount). The only negative is that the little bottle included of the conditioner is meager. The amount is too little and the bottle itself makes it super difficult to get any of it out. I can live without it as the color is perfect for me and the overall quality is very much still worth it for me. If the conditioner issue was resolved, this would be a six star review.
