I do not drill holes this size often. And I drill them even less often in metal. And less often still in stainless steel. So I ordered the least expensive solution that I could find. I looked at what was on offer at Harbor Tool. Then I turned to Amazon. These bits were rated for metal and were low priced. I would have been pleased if the 1" bit I used was able to cut just one hole: stainless steel is notorious for dulling drill bits. The bit did the job and appears no worse for the experience.. I can't testify for applications that require repeated operations. Don't forget to use cutting oil.

Used them cutting holes in 12ga. Worked fine. The teeth look like they will last a while as long as you take your time and use cutting fluid

These are well built tools that will be a nice addition to any shop. They are machined nicely and very precisely and do not fit into the "cheap tool" category from around the Harbor; although they may sell a similar product. Each bit has comes with a small plastic case. They cut nicely in thin gauge sheet when using liberal amounts of oil. Not intended for wood use but probably will be in any home shop. It will do the job on thin hardwood but will be a mess with softwoods. Most craftsman will appreciate the spring that dislodges the scrap. I just wish larger sizes were available. They are from the PRC but obviously on the high end of the lineup.

The do exactly what they are supposed to do, just not for long. The largest bit lasted exactly six holes through very thin stainless steel Fortunately that was all I needed them for.

They sent me the set with the one bit I really needed missing (they duplicated one of the other bits). I wrote to them, and they sent a complete replacement set within days. They did not require a return of the first set. The bits work fine and appear well-made and useful for home use. Don't know about professional or commercial use. Very satisfied with quick, efficient customer service.

Sizes are not standard

This product I got a few hrs ago is already broken,the bits are sharp cut well. But the mandrel snaped in half on 3rd hole 300 rpm and light pressure. Also the suppled alen wrench is the wrong size ; first thing I did while snuging up center pilot bit was to strip out the set screw. Come to find out wrong size allen wrenche. The bit striped off mandrel: Had to weld bit to mandrel. One more thing the little spring in center gets hung up and stops the bit from going into material , pull the spring off.
