This is a great unit! I really like how music sounds on it. Using it as a security camera is great too. It follows around when you want it to. My wife and I are no strangers to the echo shows. We had a echo show 10 2 gen before this. We do a lot of shopping on Amazon so the ads are nice especially if it's something new. We have our echo to tell us when something is coming in or when it's delivered. My security cameras work great on it too. I'm really excited about Alexa+ and what it can do. So it will be nice to get early access and get it free since we are Prime members. This unit is very useful. And if you're use to some echo corks it's well worth it. Alexa+ should address some of the corks. I recommend this unit to everyone!!

Oh, it still works, but I am older, I was having trouble sometimes being able to see the small screen well and so I decided it was time to replace it. I did vaccilate back and forth between the next larger one, but where I had the 8" one, this 10" Echo Show works better. The size of this one's screen is exactly what I needed - much, MUCH easier for me to read! It was easy enough to set up and am, right now, listening to one of my Audbible books on it. Very happy with this 10" screen Echo Show. Oh, and I like the sound module - the larger bottom section - to be exceptional compared to the sound from the 8" one.

I'm a pro user of Echo products. I own 5 in my little house. I love my Echos. I bought this refurbished one for my mother, who has dementia and lives on her own. I wanted to use it more as a verbal reminder for her to do things. The problem is that this Echo doesn't want to work like any other Echo. It texts me the reminders but doesn't say them on her device. (I know, I've tested it many times.) It has a hard time accepting commands. Often I have to say them 2 - 4 times. I bought the same new model for a friend, and it works exactly as expected. This was my first foray into the realm of refurbished echos and most likely my last. This one just seems so much "stupider" than my old Echo Dot that I still use. For the positives, the sound quality is good, it does track the voice nicely, and when it does accept a command it works as expected.

The media could not be loaded. Truly LOVE The "Echo Show 10"! AWESOME SOUND, displays all my AOSU camera indoors and outdoors, when I ask, unlock and lock my 3 TTLOCK smart locks, control all SENGLED smart lights, adore the reminders, controls my NEST smart thermostat, turn on and off the VIVINT alarm system, turn SAMGSUNG and VIZIO TVs off and on, the TV game shows and home games it plays, and I can play with relatives, friends and even people I don't know. Turn lights and devices on by schedules, keeps me up with the time all day. Tell me when shows are on, the ones I don't want to miss, and VERY MUCH MORE. Yeah, all Echos does this BUT the Show 10 takes it a bit further. My Show 10 named "Echo", he's in the kitchen and helps me cook, old recipes, new recipes, he gives suggestions too. Dose a grocery list for me. Watch my calendar for all my event dates doctor appointments, everyone's birthdays and again more. Keep me on time with my medicines, my exercise time, my meals and even time I should go to sleep. They said there is an Alexa+ coming and supposed to do far much more. I can't wait. OJ Johnson

So, this thing is otherwise really cool, and at first it only had the very occasional ad, but now it's like every 3 slides is a @#$& ad! I really do not want ads in my living room.And, there's no way to get rid of them. With the Fire Tablet, you can pay extra and ditch the ads, but with the Echo Show, you can't. Until Amazon fixes that and lets us unsubscribe from ads, I will not be buying any other Echo Shows.The bombardment of ads is so absolutely annoying and tacky, I'm only giving this one star. If I could opt out of the ads, I'd give the thing 4 stars.And as to the security camera feature - how you can access the camera and use it to look around your house - really cool idea, but it only works if your phone is on WiFi. It will never load the camera feed if you're using mobile data, and there's no way to tell it to allow this. I don't know about you, but when I'm away from home, my phone is rarely on WiFi. This ability to check in on my home with the camera while I'm away was one of the draws to me deciding to buy this, and it isn't even practical since your phone has to be on WiFi. I'm using an Android phone, so I can't say if the iOS Alexa app has the same issue or not.Oh, here's another negative, it applies to all Echoes: it can't control Fire TV devices that aren't on the same account it is. In my Amazon Household - you know, linked accounts sharing Prime - the Fire TVs are on my husband's account because they are the gadgets he wanted and uses, and the echoes are on my account because they're the gadgets I wanted and use. Well, I can't tell Alexa to do anything with the Fire TVs, even if we say "switch account" to get into hubby's, unless I either move all the Echoes to his account or all the TV's to my account. Meanwhile, the Echoes can control our Roku TV just fine!
