My Brother Jonathan [DVD] [1985] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

I can't view this disc as it is Region 1 and only viewable in US and Canada. It is a BBC set so strange that I can't get a disc set to view in UK? I SENT AN EMAIL TO EXPLAIN THAT I WAS NOT SATISFIED AND ASKED HOW I COULD VIEW THE DISC BUT TO DATE HAVE HAD N O REPLY SO HAVE WASTED £11.99!!!!!NOT HAPPY AT ALL. WHY SEND DISCS TO UK IF WE CANNOT VIEW THEM. A RIP OFF.

This DVD is superb with wonderful acting and the atmosphere so evocative of early 20th century Black Country life. The pace is gentle and full of dramatic tension with a heart-rending conclusion to the story. The novel's author, Francis Brett Young, is new to me but I'm now reading a selection of his novels with great enjoyment.

Don't understand why it's not available from UK. Remember watching it on BBC in the early 80s. Lovely to see it again for nostalgia's sake.

I cannot comment on disc quality as yet, as not yet viewed it (birthday present). However, it did arrive promptly, well packaged and with plenty e-mail notification from the seller. I have a multi-zone player, so do not anticipate problems when we come to view. Happy to use this seller again. No problems whatsoever.
