A really good non-stick skillet, with a lid and a bonus gift. Who could ask for anything more?
For years I have been cooking with 2 Calphalon skillets that I loved, until that love died. In the last few months the skillets resembled a really bad relationship. The became clingy, possessive, unable to let go of my food. I realized it was time for a breakup. Since Prime Deals had begun I started to shop for a replacement. I found a Seller that was offering 2 ceramic Calphalon skillets at a very attractive price so I immediately added them to my shopping cart. I did not check out that night since there were other items I needed to order the next day. When I returned to my shopping cart the Calphalon skillets were no longer there, something about the Seller not offering them at that price anymore. Life has taught me that, in a situation like that, rather than be upset about not getting what you want, chill out and allow the Universe to give you what you may need! So I started to search through other Prime Deals and I came across this skillet. I always read the reviews, good and bad, to get a real perspective about the product. (By the way, shoppers, just because a certain item clashes with your decor is no reason to give it a 1 star rating. Just saying.) The fact that it included a lid really appealed to me so I took a leap of faith and I ordered 2 of them, this one and another 8 inch one. They arrived yesterday and I read the instructions that were included (you know, reading the instructions before using a product can be quite useful. I should do it more often.) I hand washed both skillets last night and allowed them to dry on the dish rack.Tonight I went of a "first date" with the 11 inch one. Again, following instructions, I cooked some chicken breasts with fresh garlic and peppers. As they were cooking they were easy to move around with nothing sticking. I was able to get a nice browning on them without much effort. And you know those nice crusty, crispy bits that accumulate at the bottom of the pan as you are cooking, they came off without a problem! I know this is only "a first date" and I should not really judge it completely based on this one experience. But let me put it this way, I am looking forward to our next encounter. So, when you get this package you will receive a skillet, a glass cover and a bonus gift. The skillet comes without the handle attached. But this manufacturer planned ahead for this small inconvenience and has included a very good Philips screwdriver so you can attach the handle yourself. (Honestly, I had never in my life seen a manufacturer include a good hand tool with their product. Oh, sure, Ikea will include a very simple Allen wrench to put their furniture together but nothing like the quality of this screwdriver. Should anyone come across a product that is shipped with a pair of needle nose pliers, please give me a shout out. I am in the market for a pair of those.)I am liking this skillet, so far. It has good weight to it and I really like the wooden accent to the nob and handle. With these 2 skillets I vow to follow the instruction (read the instructions, people, it helps) and hopefully I will have a good pair of skillet for years to come. I hope this review helps your decision. PS. Check out the photos and look at the cool little screwdriver they give you.

Holy Toledo
This is the best value I've seen in a long time folks. I paid about 24 bucks for this 8 inch skillet.Go to your local Walmart or discount store and you'll quickly see it's not easy to buy a quality non stick skillet WITH A LID for 24 bucks. This is a heavy duty well built skillet. It's thick. It has some heft to it and the glass lid is top notch. It has a small vent hole as well. You have to attach the handle yourself (some people are turned off by this really?) it took about 30 seconds to attach and here's the kicker folks..... Check out the picture. THEY GIVE YOU A SCREWDRIVER TO ATTACH THE HANDLE WITH. AND THIS THING IS NICE REAL NICE. IF YOU BOUGHT THIS SCREWDRIVER AT LOWE'S YOU'D PROBABLY PAY ABOUT 10 BUCKS FOR IT.Apparently it wasn't enough to provide a really nice quality product at a decent price. The manufacturer thought it would be nice to give you a screwdriver to put the thing together as soon as you get the package so you don't have to go rummaging through drawers or your toolbox to find a Phillips head. Not many companies will go through that trouble folks.Honestly, we weren't expecting much out of this Skillet. We just needed a small Skillet that we could use at a camping cabin on our induction burner. Oh yeah, did I mention that this Skillet will work on any stove? It doesn't matter. Convection, induction, electric, gas. It'll work on them all.Just have to take all the normal precautions you would with any non-stick pan. I wouldn't go grinding away in there with steel wool or metal utensils, but you know that already if you have other non-sticks cookware.

Great non stick, quick cooking, easy cleanup!
We, really like these pans, they are used every day. I always add coconut oil, grape seed, beef tallow or butter. Sometimes a combination of an oil and butter. We add oils and food, then set the burner to medium or a little less. They heat and cook quickly. We have three sizes the 8" Sansarte pan was first, then 10" deep fry pan, for chickens, roasts and large amounts Rainbow Chard, etc. . . Now we have the 9.5" saute pan. All with their lids. We have never really had food stick, if they do, I add a little more water or a little more oil.The lids are really great - they release some steam and I can see the cooking stage of the food. The wood handles don't require a pot holder to pick up the pan or to do a quick look under the lid. The lids fit some of our other pans, which is nice.We only hand wash, and we do not use metal tools - only wooden, silicone spatulas and a few times plastic serving spoons. if, the pan is left with food in it to long - like during a meal, I will soak before gently wash it out. They always come out clean ready to use again. I highly recommend these pans.

As illustrated, nicely finished, induction ready and it gave me a good laugh
My first ceramic non stick pan is quite satisfactory but it doesn't work on my induction cook top. The text on Amazon didn't say if this one did, so I asked the question and the assistant said it does, and it's true. I tested it firs thing. The pan is very nicely finished creamy white inside and out and it gave me a good laugh when I opened the package, there's the glass lid with a wood grain knob that is not wood and just as illustrated, and the pan and two long thin packages, one obviously the handle and the other a good quality Philips head screwdriver which makes it easy to screw on the handle nice and tight. It is well fitted and may never need tightening again but I can never have too many Philips screwdrivers.
