We have a 16 year old whippet, Sophie, who is frail and completely deaf. She was getting increasingly distressed at night, wandering around and having multiple accidents. We discussed anti anxiety drugs with her vet but due to side effects we decided against going down this route. Our vet suggested Activait which Sophie has now been taking for 2 months. Since starting, her behaviour at night has gradually improved but because we have made other changes (using a night light and getting up twice to let her out) it is hard to be sure how much effect the Activait has had. Regardless, it certainly hasn't done any harm so I am ordering another pack.Tablets are expensive (and gone up a £1) and rather large.
