Just a little update- it does leave feathers on your bed. Not a huge issue but our duvet cover is black so they really show up for us. I have t noticed any of them being pokey though. I still like the duvet. We’ve just been using this for a week but it’s very soft and comfortable. I haven’t tried to wash it yet but think it will fit in my washing machine (I got the California King for our King bed and recommend it for a nice oversized fit that’s really comfortable for two people). When you hold it up to the light you can see that there are not a lot of feathers in each square which makes it flatter than your typical down duvet so it’s not going to fluff up much. We slept with it without a cover while waiting for our cover to arrive and haven’t noticed any feathers poking out and stabbing me. The quality is nice and I can tell it’s built to last many years. If you’re buying this lightweight duvet to stay cool, I highly recommend a 100% cotton duvet cover as well or else it will defeat the purpose of it being lightweight and less hot. I’m not gonna lie- I still get night sweats as a post menopausal woman, but truly this is the best one we can find. Hubby likes it as well and he typically needs a warmer blanket. Somehow it works for both of us which is a small miracle!

This is my favorite down comforter/duvet insert. I love that it is so very lightweight yet warm enough. I also have been able to wash this in my machine on delicate/low spin and then dry it on low heat. In order for it to become completely dry, I ran it 4 times at 40 minutes each on low. Just make sure there are no damp areas before placing it on your bed. It fluffs up nicely. One of my favorite purchases, and I do not use a duvet cover. I like it just the way it is. Also, it is very soft and feels great on your skin, and I think it is worth the money.

3rd update: as you can see, I’ve updated this review three times. I have a love-hate relationship with this company. I returned the duvet that was the incorrect size and re-ordered. The new one is the correct size for my duvet cover. Highly recommend putting it in the dryer when you receive it on low or no heat for 10 to 15 minutes if you want it to fluff up as much as it can. The first mistake I made was ordering lightweight, which is super thin and has no puffiness at all. Make sure you order the all seasons if you want fluff. 2nd review: After giving a 5 star review for comfort, I quickly noticed days in that the king duvet doesn’t fit inside out king duvet cover AT ALL. The kins comforter shows a measurement online of 106x90 and in fact we laid it out flat and it only measures 100 x 86!! This is an extremely expensive comforter, and if it doesn’t fit inside a king duvet perfectly it just constantly ships around. So my husband side right now there is about 6 to 7 inches of just blank space. Returning. And it sucks because this is the most comfortable Duvet Insert I’ve ever had and it’s the only one I like. You will absolutely love this duvet insert IF you get the right one. Don’t make the mistake I did and order the Lightweight or you will return it. It’s flat and lifeless. Never fluffs up. Almost gave up on this brand; but I’m obsessed with their duvet shell. It’s buttery soft compared to the many duvet inserts I ordered and returned, so I decided to order the ALL SEASON in a King in hopes it would be fluffy. It’s PERFECT. Buttery soft, still lightweight, super fluffy like sleeping under a cloud and does NOT sleep hot as others say. You just need to use a 100% cotton duvet cover if you want it to sleep cool. Anyway, buy it!! It’s heaven!! PS. DRYER ON LOW FOR 15 mins when it arrives for extra fluff!

its very cozy and looks nice i really like that part but i washed it and the entire house smelled like dirty animal. it smells so bad even when fully dried, i seriously still smell it when its dry and its really frustrating.
