Extra Large Bags
This was one of those weird purchases. We have a large fan we use outdoors during the summer and we don't have a cover for it. We needed something to protect it from the elements and one of these bags works great and it is reusable. We just have to find other uses for the remaining 24 60-gallon, commercial use contractor bags.

Be aware the top width may be 41" wide but the bottom width is about 22" wide
Review for: "Ox Plastics 60 Gallon 3 Mil Extra Large Heavy Duty Contractor Bags, Made in USA, Trash Bag (25)-41x60", purchased 8/16/17.This is not being being written to rag on Ox Plastics as I appreciate the bags having gotten me past my immediate needs. It is being provided to help other Amazonians' expectations are met. The bags were purchased to place over in-ground pool electric control plywood backboards to protect the plywood and timer, switches, outlets, etc. from the weather through the off season and for that they worked, and for that I'm thankful. BUT, I expected the bags to be fully sized as advertised and uniformly shaped top to bottom, either straight lined or cylindrically in the width x length specified of "41 x 60" which is still bannered at the head of the ad as of 9/6/17. Further down the ad in small print it differs by specifying "41 x 55", which someone could miss. Hopefully the 6 uploaded pictures show that with the bag laid out it's more like a usable 53.5" Long , 41" Wide at the top, BUT only about 22" Wide at the bottom. so don't expect it to be uniformly as wide at the bottom as it is at the top. This may matter if you're using the bags as a liner in a trash barrel in which you're trying to dispose of hard straight-line objects like small branches, pieces of wood, etc., because as they head to the bottom they might be more apt to hit and possibly pierce the gathered-in bottom sidewalls. Further down the ad under "Product Information" and "Item Description" it indicates, "11.8 x 4.5 x 18 inches". I presume that's W x H x L, but unless you're buying it for the box, the item you're buying is the bags and perhaps the correct bag dimensions should be there, unless they want to specify that as the box dimensions. So just know that at least what I received was more like 41" wide at the top but only about 22" wide at the bottom in case you really need a more uniform top-bottom measurement. On the plus side, if you're about 5 feet tall and built like a traffic cone, you could cut a hole in the bottom for your head and use them as a conveniently shaped rain slicker, but I digress... 8-) Given 4 stars for being strong and having met my needs.

You get what you pay for, but you do pay.
I have a Brute brand trash can in shop. I had some 55 gallon liners that would just barely fit over the lip of the can, I had to stretch them a bit to make them fit. These bags are 60 gallon liners so I was hoping they would fit a little easier. Well judging by how easily they slipped (fell really) over the edges of can you might have guessed they were 90 gallon! Much easier to use and as advertised thicker and sturdier. I stripped the roof off a section of my shop that was 8' x 12'. I put all the shingles in 3 or 4 bags. The bags were less than half full, but that's probably over 250 lbs of shingles, felt, nails, drip edge, etc. and I didn't want to over stress the bags. There a few holes and tears in the plastic from jagged sharp things inside, but the bags didn't fail.In short, the only criticism I have of them is the price. I knew that before I bought them but at over a dollar a bag it's a bit much for me so I deducted one star for value. Lesser bags would probably have failed though. I will buy these again unless I can find another contractor grade bag (at least 2.5 mil thickness) for less money.

THE BEST for Emergency Kits and Contractors
Attention contractors and anyone making a "bare bones" emergency kit:These are THE plastic trash bags to buy! If you want very thick and strong material, very large size (60 gallons!) durable (nearly puncture-proof) that roll up very small, this is THE bag. I bought a box of these to haul roofing and drywall pieces, etc. away from our build sites. They worked flawlessly, without any failures.I thought a couple of these would be great for an emergency kit in my car. They are big enough to cut open and make one in to a rain shelter and the other a ground cover for 4 construction workers (we tried it out in a rain storm on the job). The two in my car rolled up to about the size of a 12 ounce aluminum beer can. Now I have a full shelter and/or sleeping bag in case of roadside emergency. They are very inexpensive, made very well, and MADE IN THE USA!!If you buy anything else, don't come crying to me when they fail. You won't be disappointed.

Great product
I keep a large garbage can next to my workbench. I don’t throw anything really sharp in here, but as you might imagine refuse from a home workshop rips the heck out of normal trash bags. Not these. They hold up really well. They are so thick that I can’t tie the top, so I use zip ties to close them up.

Very large fits a regular trash bin
Not so large that I need a rubber band but it is large that sometimes it slides down one someone throws in heavier trash. Sturdy enough, we don't use it for serious loads to be honest.

More Handy than you Think
These are strong. Very strong... exceptionally strong. I'm using these to store things long term to keep bugs and whatnot out. No way a bug is getting thru these thick bags. I'm always finding great uses for them. Used them to store mechanical (icky oil stained stuff) parts. Worked great. Kept the bag for more of that type of use later. Covered the large fan on my patio... totally protected from the elements now. Easy on and off several patio items.

A Box of Bags
I was a little surprised that the box I got was damaged and taped up. OK, it's just a box full of bags, right? Problem is I had to throw 5 or 6 of the bags away due to being ripped where the box was damaged. I was hoping for more from a US based company. One other thing, these do feel less thinner than the bags I was previously using from a different company. They are both advertised as 3mil but these feel flimsier. Still a rugged bag, maybe the formula of the material is different throwing me a curveball. Guess we'll have to see how well they work under use.
