Nice reel for the price
I carry this in my hiking bag so I can make my own fishing rod as I find the time. Some gorilla tape and safety pins and I am ready to fish. It is light weight and easy to use. Its compact to fit in a cargo pocket or your bag. Great emergency reel as well. Not made to catch record fish, just fun fishing or emergency fishing to survive.

Small, light, and cheap
I ended up with a couple of penrods and the "bait casting" reels that came with them are an EXTREMELY loose definition of a modern reel. So I bought this cheap little thing to pair up to one of those 1 meter rods. The reel is smaller than a size 50/500 I am guessing it would be a size 25; more than enough for one of those pen rods, especially if you are using 2lb mono. For $20 I do not expect much out of the reel, at least the drag has not slipped yet, granted the drag appears to be a plastic gear on the bottom of the spool. The reel foot is sized for standard reel seats, so I had to modify the reel seat with a grinder and a elbow grease. After my modifications, the reel mounts to the penrod securely enough.I should get my money's worth in enjoyment out of this reel.

seller was good with communication
I originally had issues with the shipping of this item in a timely manner, the seller was easy to contact and made every effort to satisfy my issue. The product came undamanged and is exactly what I ordered, time will tell the durability however the item looks to be made well .

Awesome mini light weight reel!
Amazing reel! Bought every cheap mini/macro/micro reel available and finally found one worth writing a review! Initial impressions, reel was spot on! Arrived on time, complete and all parts working. Obviously you will provide the line. I went with 4lb test fluorocarbon and spools nicely. Went out in the yard and gave it a dozen casts. Preformed great. I have no doubt this reel is ready for many bikepacking trips. Or if you are a backpacker/hiker this will definitely work. Hope this helps!Reed P. Albuquerque, NM.

Compact copy size , good quality
Great quality actually . It’s not a high end reel but the price is more than fair imo . I bought it for a carbon fiber , collapsible rod . (Like an antenna) Planning on using it on a backpacking trip so I haven’t set it up totally with that rod , but , I’ve ran it on a 5’ rod set up with 4 lb , porcupine quill , Aberdeen with a wiggle or leach for my Gillamonsterz in my pond . It works great , as expected . It packs down tight too when you loosen the reversible handle , small bonus for me . Not gonna hold much line but it’s not your go-to , everyday reel either . Just gotta be patient as the delivery time is almost 2 months .

Useless. Very fragile. Not for fishing.
Broken after couple of casts. The gears was that broke. Not a good quality obviously.

Tangles
If you reel fast it is fine, if you reel slow, it will tangle every time. I used it backpacking with a bobber and fly setup, the slow retrieval needed not possible unless you want to tangle every time

Pretty much just what I wanted
Pretty much just what I wanted. Very small, I can pack two of these in my suitcase with a couple of collapsible poles and can fish the lakes and streams with my companion as I drive through the Rockies in my rental car. Make is rough and I don't know how long they will last but seem like they will hold up well enough. I've fished with worse when a kid so these will be fine, and they are small. Won't hold much line, it says 1 lb 120 meters and 2 lb test holds 60 meters.
