Great product. Even kills the smell of cooked or raw foods in the fridge.I have always hated milk and dairy products being diluted by the smell of spicy foods in the fridge.With Arm & Hammer One can eliminate this problem.The duration for use is a bit short. But since this is baking powder, the product can be used to scrub stained pots and pans and even glassware after the expiry date. So it is not wasted.

Only Arm & Hammer, apparently, has the rippable-outable side panels that allow for true aeration of the refrigerator. Over time -- about three months (we cheerfully ignore the unnecessarily expensive suggestion to change the box every month) -- the air in the refrigerator interacts with the baking soda in the box, which thanks to the side vents, is able to absorb those dreaded refrigerator smells. Saves my marriage! My husband who refuses to throw anything away is able to leave his decomposing dishes in there way beyond any kind of normal timeframe and Fridge-N-Freezer (like Shake 'n' Bake or Hank 'n' Pat of the Everybody Loves Raymond episode where Robert purposely botched the wedding invitations -- Season 7, Episode 18, "The Plan" ) handles it all!

I’ve always used Arm & Hammer 1 pound baking soda boxes in my refrigerator & freezer to eliminate the odors that generate. The boxes I’d used back then weren’t ideal but they did the job. The top would be cut off, removed & placed in the fridge. A few years ago I found these greatly designed Arm & Hammer Fridge-N-Freezer boxes. Each side of the box has a nice portion that is perforated & torn off. There is a piece of thin material that prevents baking soda from coming out of the box. This design is truly ideal. The entire box of baking soda is being utilized to remove odors from my refrigerator & freezer rather than what I used before which would be soda coming off the top. This design definitely works!! Since using these odors no longer exist in my refrigerator or freezer. It says to change the box every 30 days. I typically go 45-60 days a box. The freshness lingers I feel for more than 30 days. I then change the boxes for new ones. These boxes keep freshness generating while removing odors at the same time. The nice thing is if you tip one over there are no spills. Also-Baking soda can be used for many cleaning purposes. Rather than throwing the used box directly in the garbage I open the side of material & rinse the soda down my kitchen sink. A dual purpose. These are becoming hard to find in stores so I’m glad I found them on Amazon. The price for 6 boxes may cost more than what I’d normally pay but I love these & I don’t mind paying a little extra for them. I also take advantage of Amazon’s subscribe & save program so I save a little more & order at my convenience. I hope my pictures help to reflect what each side looks like. There’s a spot on the box to write in the date you put it in the refrigerator, which I like as it’s a nice reminder. There’s nothing I don’t love about these & highly recommend them!

Ordered 6 pk/only 5 arrivd; 1 box was damaged & the powder had escaped via a corner of the plastic envelope containing all of the the5 baking soda boxes. The white powder spread throughout contents of the outer box containing the entire order, including shoebox (suede shoes) and onto me & my floor before I realized. I will never order this refrigerater box model again. The original Arm & Hammer box always seemed to work fine in the frig.

I love getting stuff in packs like this, especially paper, cardboard etc that I can't disinfect first. Always use two every three months in fridge and freezer and keep old ones by outlets (in case of fire instead of sand!) Old ones good to clean drains, toilet etc so nothing's wasteful

What can i say. Its baking soda and Its amazing at absorbing odors. I needed it for my fridge and freezers after all my food spoiled after loosing power for 10 days due to hurricane Ian. The only thing i didn't like was how pricey it was here on Amazon! I had to buy it as it wasnt available in my local stores, but i wouldn't buy it on Amazon again its ridiculously expensive.
