My Skoda Deisel Karoq turns out to have a sneaky anti-theft device which prevented my using an emergency fuel tank. It turns out this funnel is the answer - it is the right size to operate the anti-theft, and allowed me to re-fuel easily. A life-saver! Works a treat! Every diesel owner should have one!

This does the job and fits a Volvo V40 - but check you haven't got one first! In my car under the boot liner there is a plastic bag containing the flat tyre emergency 'goo'. I've never had call to open the plastic bag but took a closer look at it when I came to put this plastic funnel under the boot liner. It turns out that there was a white funnel in with the emergency goo - which I just assumed was for the flat tyre stuff - so I now have 2 funnels. It's perhaps a good idea to check yours to see if there's not one already tucked away in your car. Good luck.

I have always needed one of these devices incase I ran out of fuel, due to the fuel system being a capless design. I can now also this to put fuel additives into the fuel tank before I fill up, which will help keep my cars emissions low. I was going to get one from my local Ford garage, but I saw them for sale here on Amazon. This Diesel Funnel works perfectly. It's sturdy and made from heavy duty plastic. I keep mine in the boot.

Good product fast service well deserved the money

After carelessly filling the petrol cans that I use for my garden equipment with diesel, I thought no matter, I’ll use it in my BMW. I had forgotten the steel plate that retracts when you insert the fuel filler nozzle. My funnel didn’t work. I noted from the reviews that whilst Ford were first with this system other manufacturers have followed their lead, so it’s not just for use with Fords. I ordered one of these for next day delivery and it did the job perfectly. My funnel (one with a flexible tube) fitted it exactly. I don’t intend to run out of fuel, but I’ll certainly keep this in the car from now on. Incidentally, methylated spirits was perfect for removing the traces of diesel from the cans.
