I had a top end food saver for years and probably sealed over 5000 bags and 3000 ft of 6"/8"/12" rolls with it, but it finally quit working. I really wanted an upgrade that would last me and went back and forth on chamber sealers vs suction sealers. Decided on this type since chamber sealers can't do whole racks of ribs or full fish filets and a lot of them can't do canisters. After a ton of research, I found this one. The other reviews are correct, this this is amazing. It is a serious sealer! The only downside is no roll storage/ onboard cutter, but that takes up a lot of space in the machine and pre cut bags are much cheaper than they used to be so not a big deal. I'll hand cut out of rolls if I need something longer than 16".I've only put about 100 bags through it so I can't speak to its longevity, but the parts are replaceable which is great because I really don't want to spend hundreds on a new sealer when all it needs is a new gasket or heat strip. Next week we going on a salmon charter so it will be put through the paces then.MagicVac makes canisters for marinading that will release pressure automatically, but it will also work with food saver canisters too. I used a small weight and a piece of tape to hold the seal release button down on the canisters, works great and I already had them. If you're on the fence about which sealer to get, buy this one. I wasn't disappointed and you won't be either.

I used this sealer to bag some steaks. I've used several different brands of sealers and none comes close to the power and speed of this one. The biggest plus is the seal. I used a pre cut bag that came with it so it had quite a bit of extra bag for the amount of steak I sealed. It still pulled moisture all the way to the outside edge. Other sealers I've used failed to seal properly most of the time when that happened but not this one. So far I'm very impressed overall with the function of this one. Instructions on use are very plain and very easy to operate. Very solid well built unit. It's heavier than a lot of others but not so bad it's uncomfortable to move around. This isn't a cheaply built unit mostly out of plastic. Only thing that would make this better is roll storage and cutter. I'm guessing they didn't do it because of fear it'd make it to big and awkward having the roll on it. But I wouldn't let that be a deal breaker. I'm so pleased I found something that'll package my venison properly I can come up with a roll storage and cutter.

My new Magic Vac Jumbo 30 is a great addition to my kitchen arsenal. The machine was packed and delivered on time with the utmost care. Instruction manual was concise and very helpful and easy to get through. This is my second Magic Vac machine, the first one served me well for 16 years, and I used it extensely throughout the years. The Magic Vac is total quality and super easy to use. I would highly recommend this unit for the serious Chef or Sportsman. I use this machine with fish, meat, poultry and anything that needs to be packed and frozen.

But it’s a little pricey and does not have the internal storage for the plastic material thing I like about it most it’s not made in China it looks like quality. After having a little while and getting used to it’s operation I find that it works very well much better than the average machine and I’ve had three or four of them it seals very well and pulls the vacuum down well below the average machine. A very good product

This sealer is very well made, easy to use and not too large to be an issue storing when not in use. I don’t have much experience with vacuum sealers but this does exactly what I assumed one would do.It was a bit on the pricey side but I kept reading about how all the others were just basically the same units made in China and that confusion just made it easier to go with this one. I don’t care if you make your products overseas, just price them accordingly.

Purchased this to replace a 20 year old, frequently used, Foodsaver V1095. As the title states, I'm not impressed. This unit doesn't pull the bags down any better than the Foodsaver for 4 time the price. Vacuum of .83 bar my arse. Best that its own vacuum gauge read was .79 bar. Yes, I know that the cheap gauge may not be accurate, but what a disappointment. The only good thing that could be said is that the bag seal is very good. Another thing is the conflicting instructions stating which side of a textured bag contacts the sealing bar for the best seal. Debating as to whether lick my wound or return the unit. Bottom line, don't believe all of the marketing hype; any cheap unit will probably do as well for a lot less expense.

Seals are awesome. Suction is superior. Performed beautifully sealing over 250 pounds of fresh meat. Much better performance than our commercial food saver. Only draw back is the cutter. I bought a special cutter for the bags.

This is way better than the one that I got from Walmart three years ago. It just didn't hold a dime to this proffesional sealer. I'm like a kid with a new toy...sealing everything. Very well worth the money.
