I was sceptical in investing in this one compared to the plastic one I already have and now wish I didn’t waste my money on the plastic one and had got this right from onset. Glad I did though as I can now compare the two. Invest in a better quality turntable from outset and you won’t be disappointed. The table is sturdy and has a smooth turn when icing. The rubber base prevents it from slipping around while you are working giving added stability. And the best thing. Great value for money

Brilliant cake turntable
I absolutely love this turntable, it has changed my cake game and taken it to a new level when frosting. That may be because I had a cheap plastic one before and it was quite wobbly when turning. This one is perfect, has smooth motion, you can spin it really fast or slow. There is a rubber non slip mat attached to the bottom (can be take off) I know this because unfortunately the packaging wasn't great and part of the rubber mat was out of place in the box when I opened it. The only downside is the packaging, I don't think it was packaged in a safe way with much care, it was wrapped in one sheet of bubble wrap loosely to cover the plate and the stand, should have been done twice. The plate did have a few small scratches but it doesn't affect use. I'm not sure why it isn't boxed like you would buy from a proper shop, seems like these are open products that get packaged by the seller? One advice, it needs a non slip mat on the plate before you frost your cake with a cake board because it gets slippery, but that's with all metal turntables. Overall a great product
