The fittings at both ends seem to be well built, sturdy and securely attached to the hose itself. Even though they don't swivel. The steel connector fittings don't strip out from using wrenches to disconnect and reconnect them multiple times. Some of the cheaper off brands have the tendency for the edges of the connector fittings to round off. From being connected and disconnected multiple times. Many of those off brands are made from softer inferior steel that not only allow the edges to round off but allow the connectors to rust or oxidize. Once the other off brands round off you have to use channel locks or vice grips on those connectors. With this particular extension/whip that is not an issue. The threads on the connectors are cut deep and sharp allowing for fast and secure connections. The exterior and inner walls of the hose clean very easily when using latex paints. This whip is lightweight and seems to be durable so far. It's easy to connect and I've had no problems with any leakage at the connections or anywhere on this extension/whip. I purchased it from Amazon warehouse below list price for $17.00 plus tax. Since I am a Amazon Prime member there was no shipping fee. I would definitely recommend this extension/whip. This extension/whip alleviates the problem of having the full length hose kinking or binding during use. I didn't want a 50 ft hose. The extra four foot whip brings the total length of my spraying hose to 29 feet in length. That works perfect for me. That allows the sprayer unit to be far enough away not get covered in overspray. Yet close enough for easy access.
