Comforter is made of a weird material. It's not super soft and makes crunching noises like a plastic. I purchased the queen size to be extra big for my bed, but it barely fits my full sized bed now. It also doesn't fit the queen duvet I purchased and scrunches to the bottom of the duvet.It is definitely very fluffy and looks nice on a bed, just uncomfortable to sleep with.

This is a quality down comforter insert.The outer material is a cool, crisp percale. Buyers who have made complaints about it being too loud & crinkly don't understand the nature of percale...and this is it!I would consider this a medium weight that fluffs up easily in the dryer (on low for 10 minutes).I tend to sleep cold in the first hour of sleep and then invariably wake up hot through the night - and I don't experience either with this comforter.Although described as 2 inches too long for my King-sized Ikea duvet cover, it fit beautifully!My only complaint? There are only 4 loops vs 6...an easy fix if the company cared to make this truly a high-end, more competitive buy!

Do take the title of this review with a grain of salt. I've always had low quality blankets with cheap poly fill, so I'm sure any 100% cotton comforter with a feather fill would seem like the highest luxury to me. And this bedspread does, indeed, feel like the highest luxury! I run hot at night but under this comforter I'm warm but not too warm all night, and I don't wake up sweaty like I usually do. It is definitely a lightweight blanket. If you run cold and your bedroom gets very chilly in the winter, you may need another blanket, but this is just perfect for me. I think it will be too warm next summer, but for winter it's perfect.Other reviews complain about it being very loud and crinkly. It was very crinkly right out of the vacuum seal, and after a week it is still a little crinkly. Some people say it's loud like a leakproof mattress pad and I think that's an exaggeration; it's not THAT loud. If you're very sensitive to noise while sleeping maybe it will bother you a little, but I don't mind it at all.The only thing that bothers me about this blanket is that my duvet cover has eight ties, one in each corner and halfway down each side, and the blanket only has loops in the corner to tie it on, so the blanket shifts around on the edge. That's just a little thing and an easy fix if you have a needle, thread, and some scrap fabric.I'm sure there are better down comforters out there, but personally I don't think you can beat the price on this one and it is an excellent comforter.
