SUNWAYFOTOPCL-5DIV QR L Plate for Canon 5D Mark IV Arca / RRS Compatible Sunway

Extremely well-machined and finished. Fits 5D4 perfectly. There are two small 'inset screws' on the bottom (but not on the side) that are designed to protrude about 1/8", designed to prevent the arca plate from allowing the camera to slide out and fall. This is a nice touch. The lateral (vertical) portion fits very snugly, and I haven't yet figured out how to get at the rubber flaps that allow access to the side ports; but since I rarely shoot video and don't use external ports for mikes or USBs, this does not affect me; I use this for tripod/monopod attachment, but especially for protection. It's as solid as a rock and a reasonable price, about 1/3 of RRS. Recommend highly.Addendum after about 1-2 months of use. The main screw that attaches the bracket to the bottom of the camera is of shoddy metal. The hole for the hex wrench (the Allen wrench) stripped almost immediately; and the flathead slot is showing signs of wear. Also, the bracket comes loose almost daily due to the poor material of the screw. I have to carry a coin to keep tightening it. I did not have this problem with the Neewer bracket for my 5D3. I have sent a note to Sunwayfoto to see what they will do. I will update this post if I hear from them.

I suspect from some of the earlier negative reviews that they must have updated (improved) the design on this bracket. I bought mine at the end of Sep 2021 and am very happy with it so far. It fits my 5D Mark IV perfectly. It is very sold and attached to the bottom of the camera with the typical screw with a fold-out tab that allows easy tightening without needing a coin or screwdriver. It uses standard arca-style attachment plates that attach to my Sirui ball head perfectly, both landscape and portrait mode.I am able to get it plenty tight on the camera just by turning the attachment screw manually. The area for attaching cables on the side is very easy to access. There is a bit of a cut out on the side plate to accommodate cables - nice touch. I see noting to fault (so far) with this bracket. I am glad I didn't fork out a ridiculous amount of cash for some high-end brand. From a practice standpoint, if an accessory like this gets the job done without spending a ridiculous amount of money, I'm happy.NOTE: If I find any issues after some period of extended use, I will certainly update my review.

The media could not be loaded.  I have just received this product and I was a bit worried reading some of the reviews that it wouldn't fit perfectly.Well the fact is: it does fit perfectly on my Canon 5D Mk IV without *any* single loose ends. It is tightly following the contours of my camera and does not move at all.It is solidly built, sturdy.I used to have an RRS L Plate for my previous Canon 5D Mk II that fit like a glove - but for some reason RRS don't make a simple L plate for the Mark IV (they only make a combo plate that I find totally unnecessary).This Sunwayfoto alternative is just perfect and has a very friendly price tag (I own a nodal slide from sunwayfoto that is of very high quality as well and that is why I had decided to give this one a chance! - well I'm fully satisfied I did!).I am in no way sponsored by anyone - just a honest review of the product as received.I reckon earlier versions may not have been correct, but the one I got (January 2018) has absolutely no issue.@guillaume_sebire_photography (instagram)@GuillaumeSebirePhotography (facebook)

So was not thrilled at the idea of needing an allen wrench to put the bracket on my camera, but lucky me, I get the new version with the flip out ring 1/4-20 screw with regular screwdriver slot to tighten.That means easy on and easy off, and I can tighten down with a coin or the top of a regular house key. Superb.I was concerned about accessing the doors on the side of the camera, but it's really not a big deal. If you had humongous sausages for fingers, it might be, but normal sized fingers should be able to easily open them.Access to the remote release port on the front of the camera is easy as pie as there is a cutout in the bracket to allow for that.This is a GREAT L bracket for the Canon 5D Mark IV. Try this before dropping triple on an RSS one. You won't be sorry.

I see several reviews that indicate this L-bracket does not fit. It fits like a glove. I actually wish it had some flexibility like the Sunwayfoto L-bracket for my 7D MkII. My Tether Tools USB 3 cable could use a little more room in the vertical orientation, but there is not adjustment latitude in this bracket. I like it, I will work around the issues I have.

It fits my Mark IV like a glove. When I flip the camera on the side for a portrait it's very well aligned. It's solidly built and locks down nicely on the side and regular mount. The access panels are a little tight but once I figured them out, it's no issue getting access. Sunwayfoto did an excellent job providing an affordable bracket that performs as well as brackets three times the price.I've only been using it for a week. But if I have any issues or need to point out any changes with it, I'll update my review.

Mounted just fine to my Canon 5D Mk IV with the thumbscrew. Nice to not need an allen wrench! However it does NOT fit snugly into my ARCA Swiss Z1 quick release bracket. Once the ARCA bracket is put into the locked position, the Sunwayfoto camera bracket slides around in the mount. I'm returning this unit.Now to be entirely fair, the bracket on the ARCA mount is adjustable, and I could make it several mm narrower to fit this bracket. But that defeats the entire purpose of a quick-release mount! I have other brackets, including one by Kirk, that are all essentially the same size and fit on both my ARCA Monoball tripod and an ARCA-compatible bracket on my monopod... all without adjusting. Sunwayfoto makes a narrower base, which saves money on metal for them, but makes it useless for my purposes.So if you don't have any other ARCA brackets (or if all are made by Sunwayfoto), and you do not mind having a narrower base on your bracket, this could work fine for you.

Doesn't stay on the camera ! always have to screw it again and again so i switch back to my ancient bracket !!

Passt ohne Probleme und sehr sauber auf die Canon EOS Mark IV. Ich wollte nicht für so eine L-Platte über 200€ liegen lassen und ich bin wirklich begeistert von dem Teil. Sehr sauber verarbeitet, passgenau und Stabil. Ich würde es auf jeden Fall wieder bestellen, vieleicht noch für meine EOS 80 D irgendwann.

評判が良かったので購入してみましたが、プレートをカメラに取り付けた時はしっかりとしていて、手を使って触ってもしっかりしてたんですが、いざRRSの雲台に取り付けてカメラを触るとガタガタとガタつきがあります。撮影には影響はそんなにないかもしれないけど気になります。頭の中は？？？
