These are growing well in the fall garden. Very vigorous in spite of drought.

I’ll be honest. I’m not a big fan of daikons…I don’t care for their flavor…but that’s just me. My friend adores them. We started growing them with a heat lamp and a light. The garage is pretty chilly in Minnesota in April.They took off like crazy and I can’t wait to get them into the garden. We’ll be planting more than we could possibly eat but they also make a luxurious ground cover. We’ll be donating the excess to neighbors, friends and the Saturday church sale.The seeds were superb.

We almost eat the fresh leaves every day! They are growing very fast, elegantly looking, delicious!

I think every one of these seeds I planted has sprouted. I planted these in early summer even though these are a winter vegetable, and surprisingly enough these grew and didn't bolt despite enduring a very hot summer! I still don't know how far down these go, but the amount above ground is already a good amount of radish, and the greens grow so fast once the root is established that they provide a steady supply of edible greens while waiting for the root to finish growing.

I wanted to plant these as cover and to help break up soil, but they wouldn't sprout.
