Jacintha recorded her first album for Groove Note (Here's To Ben) in 1998. Her latest and sixth release, Jacintha Goes To Hollywood was released in mid-2007 and marks ten years with the Groove Note label, which we figured was a good enough excuse to release this first ever collection of the best performances from all her albums. Tracks include Danny Boy, The Look Of Love, Autumn Leaves, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Something Cool, Light My Fire, O Ganso and many many other great sounding tracks. Almost 75 minutes of non-stop Jacintha. Hybrid SACD will play on regular CD player.

Somewhat underwhelming versions of classic sounds. Great instrumental playing, good vocals.
I had read so much about Jacintha, saw the vinyl versions of some of her recordings selling for $80, read rave reviews from audiophile magazines, etc. On the choices here, her style of singing is reminiscent of Astrud Gilberto and the Diana Krall release "Wallflower", which was not my favorite recording from one of my favorite singer/pianists. Laid back and mellow. Maybe a younger Ann Murray approach to the tunes. Not bad, but not on the level (IMHO) of the great singers and great Krall recordings (Live in Paris , All for You ).

Great music
The product was not as described. It appears to be a copy or a bootleg. The CD jewel case lists 15 songs. The actual disc only had 8. None of the track listings match the actual songs on the disc.

If you like jazz you will LOVE this cd
If you like jazz you will LOVE this cd. I have all her CDs, sometime they are hard to find. I am glad Amazon carries them. Jacintha does the best version of Waters Of March which is my favorite song.

Good not great
This is my first Jacintha cd. I thought the music was good, but it didn't blow me away. The sound quality was above average with the SACD format.
