MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust System 15684: Cat-Back, Street Series

Get what you pay for. Nice stainless setup, that goes up very easily in driveway on stands. As far as fitment issues others have, I don't see it. This was 1 of the easier catbacks I've installed. They take the guessing out of it with new hangers. It's not a coloring book tho, you have to put some effort into it. The🔑is to Follow The Directions...Do Not Tighten Everything..Until it is all in place where you want it...And THEN hold it and 🔩Snug it up and Tighten Again. May have to twist🔃the muffler to get the tailpipes in right spot. Squirting🔫the joints w a little💦lubricant will make things go smoother when adjusting.You'll have urself a nice ole rumblin Fbody. WOT is where it sounds the best, nice mellow rumble cruising, no drone. If your looking for obnoxious loud,this isn't the system for you tho🏎🏁.

The exhaust arrived in two days and was very easy to install. All the brackets fit perfectly and the quality of the product is evident from the materials, finish and fit. I had a concern about the fit due to a factory installed fascia that lowers the back bumper on my 2002 Z-28 Camaro by 1 1/2". The system fit perfectly and looks and sounds awesome. I would recommend this product to any 2002 Z-28 Camaro owner if you want your car to sound like a true muscle car. Very Happy.

Installed on a 2000 Trans Am, just finished a forged LS1 build with a big ol Texas speed cam and CNC ported 243 heads. Long tubes and an off-road Y. Finished it off with a magnaflow catback. It’s very quiet and rumbly at low rpms and screams at high rpm. It did a very great job at turning my basically race car into a completely streetable ride. No drone whatsoever. All components are very high quality. I noticed a little while after that my tips were sitting uneven, they must’ve torqued when I tightened the clamps so I’ll have to mess with that a bit more.

Great product, but terrible fitment problems.

Exhaust sounds and looks awesome on my 99 Trans Am. Fit perfectly and was easy to install. I installed it on jack stands in my driveway. I saw a few other reviews saying they had issues, I'm positive they are just incompetent. It's easy, put it all on first and get it all lined up before you sock it down.

brought this for my 02 pontiac trans am fits good. Sounds nice. It's only a little louder than stock at idle but has a nice deep tone and sounds really good at WOT. If you want a loud exhaust then this is not for you.

I love this exhaust on my 02 Camaro ss. It has a nice mellow rumble when cruising and sounds great during "spirited" driving. Best of all very little drone inside the car. There is a small, but noticeable performance improvement. It is not very loud, so if you like loud exhaust look elsewhere. I was surprised at the high quality of the system and really liked the nifty hanger setup they included to make sure the tips don't move around (2 additional hangers besides the factory ones that hold the tailpipes/tips in place (my pic shows the passenger side tailpipe hanger)Update: After a couple days with this exhaust I noticed a few things. #1 The hanger on the driver side tailpipe is way too tall and cannot attach to the factory hanger properly (I even had to cut up the rubber hanger down to 1/3rd its original thickness for it to fit on there and even so it doesn't do anything it just floats between the two hangers instead of being supportive, see pic) I don't know how I didn't notice this during installation. #2 The passenger side tailpipe/tip is way closer to the center of the car then the driver side and looks pretty bad when you look at the car from behind. I have emailed magnaflow about these issues and am awaiting response. I will update this review accordingly.Update #2: I have modified a few things to get everything to fit decently. #1 The hanger that is too tall you have to cut it at the 90 degree bend at the top and then heat it up and bend it into a "new" hanger then it fits properly (see pic). #2 you have to cut about an inch off of the driver side outlet on the muffler and an inch off of the driver side tailpipe inlet and then cut new "slits" where the old ones were on the tail pipe inlet, This will allow you to move the driver side tailpipe more toward the center of the car. #3 Slide the passenger side tailpipe as far as you can off of the muffler without getting any leaks. By doing #2 and #3 this will greatly improve centering of the tips (originally the passenger side tip was way closer to the center then the driver side and looked terrible) its still not perfect, however. I don't understand how all these positive reviews don't have/mention any of these issues. How can magnaflow screw up the fitment this bad on such a common application? I'm still waiting on a response from them, maybe they will send me some proper fitting tailpipes but I doubt it.

After weeks of YouTube clips deciding what sounded best on my Z28 I decided to go with these. I'm glad I did! They give my car the deep sounding tone I was looking for, but also get loud when at full throttle. A very clean, powerful sound, not obnoxious. Also no droning sound at highway speeds. Install went fairly well, had to trim some of the left pipe's bracket to make it match the height of the right, but that could have just been the car. Packaging and delivery was top-notch!
