VERY LARGE VOLUME for your paddle like foot!!
As someone with big feet, finding shoes that fit comfortably can be a real struggle. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack, except the haystack is filled with shoes that were clearly made for people with normal-sized feet. I mean, who even has feet that small? Elves? But fear not, fellow big-footed friends, for there are shoes out there that can accommodate our giant paddles. Take these boots, for example - they've got so much volume, you could fit an entire Thanksgiving dinner in there. And trust me, as someone with feet that could double as snowshoes, that's saying something.Sure, the Atop® Boa System can be a bit of a nuisance, constantly releasing and needing to be tightened mid-ride. But hey, it's just your feet saying "Hey, we need a little breathing room here!" And who can blame them? They need to stretch out and relax after all that hard work of carrying you around. And that stiff material around the top of the boots, that digs in around the ankle? It's just trying to give your ankles a little hug. Sure, it might be a bit of an awkward hug, like when your aunt hugs you a little too tightly at family gatherings. But it's the thought that counts, right? I would think this will get softer with age sort of like we all do.So, for all my fellow big-footed folks out there, don't give up hope. There are shoes out there that will love and accept your giant, yet lovable feet.

Lacing knobs too easy to break, but CastleX fixed for free!!
2nd UPDATE: 3/10/2023 - Later in the day after posting my previous update, the doorbell rang and the boots were returned to me. Not only did they fix both dials, but they sent over a couple pieces of swag as well (T-shirt, knit cap). No invoice was included and no further emails about any charges were received, so they did good by fixing them complimentary, and in record time!! I sent them out on Tuesday and got them back on Friday (It helps that I live in the same state they are based from). Upping my rating to 4 stars from 2, you just can't beat service like that. I'd go 5 stars but still don't really like the design of the knob protrusion...feel as though this will happen again if I am not mindful of it every time I get on/off my sled. Too bad the riding season is all but over, I won't get to enjoy these again until next year!UPDATE: 3/10/2023 - After finding a video online, I became aware of how to disassemble the knobs from the boot (Use pliers, grab the outer ring firmly and turn clockwise until they release...watch out for falling parts. Took me a few tries to get it). After removing them, I found that given some replacement parts, I could fix these. I contacted CastleX and they stated that they do not sell parts for these, but that I could send them in and they will fix them for me. They had me fill out a warranty claim and I got an RMA (Which doesn't include shipping charges). They mentioned nothing of cost to this point as I am out of warranty and I doubt it would cover this issue anyway, so I am curious to see how they handle this. I mailed the boots out and am still waiting to hear back from them, but fingers crossed they fix them at little to no cost.Original review:Thought I loved these boots, but after a 2 day sledding trip realized they have a major design flaw and I am now stuck with a pair of practically brand new boots I can't use. The knobs that tighten and release the laces stick out from the rest of the boot by about an inch. When getting on or off your sled, if you aren't super careful, the knobs catch on the foot rail and snap off, with absolutely no way to fix them. First time I didn't even realize it happened until I noticed my boot was getting loose, so by the time I checked it the broken knob was long gone. I felt it the second time and was able to salvage the parts, but as noted, zero way to repair it. Only the second time I've worrn these in the year I've had then and they are now garbage. Don't get sucked in to the convenience of the quick lace system... It works great indeed but the ultimate cost is obviously not worth it!

Tightening system doesn't last
I got off my snowmobile and the button that tightens and loosens the boot was torn off because it sticks out too far from the boot. These boots do not wick moisture from foot, they need to be dried out by a boot dryer after each use.

Junk
Boots came exactly as seen. Not even worn once. The right boot cannot be tightened as the knob was already busted off and NO WHERE to be found in the box. I did not select to have used boots sent. I paid full price to get brand new boots and were given hammydowns.
