Goldwell Color Measuring Bowl

It makes getting the right ratio between the color and developer super easy. It is also very well made w/ high quality plastic. Easy to clean too.If you are using Goldwell color in canisters, then this measuring bowl is a must have, as it also serves as a pump. To use: put the bowl directly above the canister opening, gently push down, the content will be pumped up into the bowl.To clean it: rinse the bowl after each use. This may not be enough, as in the long run, the color builds up in the tiny mouth of the bowl, and may reduce the flow of color from the canister to the bowl. So, to clean it thoroughly, one needs to have two things: 1) a goldwell pump 2) a goldwell h2o bottle (or an empty developer bottle). To use, assemble the pump and the bottle together, fill it w/ some water, then put the bowl directly over the pump, push down gently, water will be pumped up through the mouth into the bowl, thus clean the mouth.update: I bought a measuring bowl for my friend in 10/2013. The bowl has a new design. It has two separate pieces, a bowl and a base, each has larger openings than the old design (the pic is still the old one.) I think that the new design will make the cleaning much easier. Also, Goldwell has discontinued h2o bottle.

I'll keep this simple for everyone. Some may be like me and not that experienced with purchasing Goldwell Products.I picked up a can of Goldwell TopChic Hair Color, but could not figure out how to extract the hair color. If you purchased a Goldwell TopChic can like the one in my photo, and can't figure out how to use it either, this item is what you need. After doing some research, I now know that you need to pick up this item in order to use the Goldwell Can. The entire piece including the measuring bowl snaps onto the Goldwell Hair Color Can and allows you to extract the dye for mixing and application.

Much better than the old style measuring bowl which I owned two and they were hard to clean the input. My oldstyle bowls eventually busted at the intake nozzle when it broke away rendering them useless even for tubed haircolor as it then had a hole at the base.Make sure the base is properly and fully screwed in or your developer and/or haircolor will be spurting out the bottom as you fill the bowl and you won't notice until too late having formula in the bowl and on the floor. It only has to happen once and then you will give it an extra twist the next time to make sure it's on fully and straight.It's so much easier to fully clean the intake nozzle area as the bottom separates from the top. It is also comforting to see they are using a silicone based bottom (not the base which is hard plastic) to allow for flexibility as the haircolor pushes through.

I was irked to have to buy this to access the canisters of Goldwell hair product I thought I was very clever in buying. The canister description never says you have to use this unique bowl to get the color out. So I bought it and used it. It's rather clever how you press the bowl on top of the canister and the product foams up. But I find the bowl to be a bit small when filling it up for a full head of hair coloring, some jumps out of the bowl when trying to mix a few colors like I do. Also, the bottom of the bowl where the product squirts in has a depression where I find it hard to get my brush in there to get the color to mix with the developer. So, necessary to use the canisters but I don't love it.

Ridiculous product. Hard to believe a company actually developed this idea to release dye that's under pressure. Just sell hair color in a tube/bottle like any other company. This is no way to stand out. Hard to use, read amount levels, and get out all the hair color. However, their hair color is the best for gentleness to hair and great shine.

I bought this to use with the Goldwell color canister. It didn't come with the tube in the middle to measure the product when it comes out of the can. I had to order that separately. When I originally bought the bowel it showed the picture with it in there, but it didn't come that way. Now that I have it, it works perfect and you get the perfect amount of product.

THE BOWL IS WONDERFUL, EASY TO MEASURE HAIR COLOR PRODUCTS, HOWEVER THE SELLER SHOWED THE GOLDWELL COLOR DOSAGE SYSTEM AND ACKNOWLEDGED IT AS "THE BOWL. THE PICTURE SHOWN ABOVE ISN'T WHAT THE SELLERS PICTURE LOOKED LIKE. IT HAD SHOWN THE MEASURING TUBE IN THE BOWL. NOW THEY SAY THAT WASN'T INCLUDED.

Exactly what I needed and expected. I was able to use my color cartridges and get my hair done at home instead of needing to go to a salon. Well made, and comes apart for easy cleaning.
