I would say it’s my son in law choice and we love this product

Don’t buy. Major bug makes unusable.
Apparently there’s a known bug where the device constantly resets itself, and there’s no amount of tweaking the settings you can do to fix it, making the device unreliable in an actual network. Don’t waste your money. At this point go UniFi, or use packet tracer if you want to lab. Since I can’t return it, this is just sitting on a shelf, useless.

Frequent restarts
On my home network this unit resets every hour or or two. After working with Cisco, including getting a new unit, the issue has not been resolved. I can see from the output on the console that the kernel is crashing. Updating firmware did not help. Be sure to return to Amazon if you see this behavior. I’m stuck with the Cisco warranty which has been a painful process..

Deployed twice in a pinch
Had to buy this Cisco 220 SMB switch twice to outfit some small late additions to the network, did the job segmenting traffic, supporting PoE needs, can't beat the price
