I discovered The Captain on Instagram about a year ago. I really liked his no non-sense, give-it-to-you-straight posts on his page. So I bought Speech Therapy a couple of months ago. I work long hours so I normally don't have time to read books. Or, I try but fall asleep. This was an easy read. I was able to go through 50 pages in one sitting! This is full of good life lessons so I just bought two more books as gifts. One for my goddaughter as she heads off to college, the other for a family member as he navigates through his sobriety. I'll buy more if I think it'll be useful for someone else in the future.

Awesome gift for anyone, even for that hard to buy for friend! There is something relatable for everyone. A great pick me up when you’re feeling down, hopeless, helpless or just don’t feel like going to work! Turning life challenges around through humor, introspection and just telling it how it is. Making Speech Therapy not just a descent read, its more like a good friend giving great advice at every turn of a page!

Absolutely love this author. This book makes you laugh even on your worst day. I fully intend to keep it on my desk at work (family law office) for people that need a little boost or when I have a tiny thunder cloud following me around.I am waiting with baited breath for 'William is a Weirdo' and can't wait to see what else Kyle has in store for the future.Thanks for all your words of wisdom Captain!

I found this book to be witty, uplifting, and very down to earth. It is a short read, for those who don't consider themselves readers. Everyone who wants a little nudge to get back on track should get this book.

The Captain has a talent for recognizing the trap of common the anxiety, discomfort, and sometimes horror we experience due to life’s glitches, missteps, and tragedies, and using parallel stories to help us find the door and move on. He does it with wit and intelligence, and he does it well.

So far an enjoyable book and subjects that I have faced so far in life. Looking forward to reading Captains other books as well.

It’s a great book… must read most definitely. The condition it came in not so much. Very used bent and with lots of fingerprints. Otherwise I would if given it all 5 stars…

A delightful collection of pithy advice on a myriad of topics. True to the Captain’s style, it’s delivered straight-up, with compassion and a healthy dose of humour. A must for anyone’s coffee table, bedside table, bookshelf or wherever is your spot to reach out for a regular quick read for the day.

I've been following the Captain on Instagram for quite some time now and always enjoyed his posts. When he mentioned this book again this May, for Mental Health Month, I decided to give it a go and ordered it. I didn't know what to expect exactly, but I wasn't disappointed😊 His writing style is easy to read (English is not my main language), and filled with humor. A lot of chapters were very relatable and made me realize all the things I've already been through which made me who I am today. It made me laugh, it made me cry, I made me FEEL. I'm sure I will reread certain parts in difficult times and I'm looking forward to adding more of his releases to my bookcollection. Thank you Captain, for sharing the wonderful human you are with the world! 😊

This book is absolutely amazing and straight forward I love the captain for his honesty and logic I absolutely recommend this !! Speech therapy , I really needed this book and it actually worked for me and I am only half way since I got my book today , I’ve read half while the kids were napping and now I can’t wait to put them to bed so I can continue.
