I bought this to run my dog during the day (yes really). My dog loves to chase laser pointers, but the standard one is too dim to be seen during the day. I wasn't expecting much to be quite frank, but I was pleasantly surprised. It works great in sunlight and while she has a hard time seeing the green light in the green grass, against the white fence she sees it just fine. I can run her now during the day for as long as she will go. I highly recommend it to anyone with a very active puppy!

I bought this laser because I saw a guide at the Air and Space museum use it to point out a detail on an exhibit 150 feet away. I had to have one. And I am very happy with my purchase. Honestly, this is probably more laser than I should be allowed to have. I was able to put a clear, green dot on an object at least a quarter mile away. So, maybe use with caution, because it could totally get you into trouble?

This laser punches through a hazy sky when my other legal 5mW output lasers can't. However, in single beam mode, this laser it is much too powerful to use indoors. For indoor use, the screen that splits the laser light into patterns needs to be in place. Otherwise, if used indoors in single beam mode, the beam is so bright that there is a risk of blindness. In comparison with the lasers I use for astronomy, I am sure it exceeds the 5mW legal power output limit.It's very light weight. There is a red charging indicator light that extinguishes when fully charged. I do not know how long it can operate on a singe charge. The USB rechargeable battery is not replaceable but it will probably last for years. (After all, how ofter does one use a laser pointer?) It's a good value for the money but it needs to be used with caution.

This thing is extremely bright!!! Unfortunately that’s the only good thing I can say. I took it out of the package, used it for 2 days till the battery died and now it won’t charge at all….

I got this for astronomy, but found a new use. We have a problem with Canada geese in our backyard. They create a mess, leaving poop everywhere. Neighbors have been chasing them with a shovel, or throwing golf balls at them. This laser is bright enough to spook them even during the day. It doesn’t harm the geese, and I don’t have to chase them after them.
