Great price, great product
I wear a 7 1/4 Stetson, so I ordered this helmet in Large. Fits perfectly. Loose enough for comfort, but I can bend fully in any direction without the strap and it doesn't fall off.The packaging was sturdy and free of damage, the helmet inside in a foamy wrap and carrying bag. Overall, no issues. The liner is fairly thick and comfortable, not too hot. It detaches well for cleaning. The chin strap is a standard D-ring, and the strap has a snap-button on the end to secure the strap so it's not flapping in the wind. The snap is not meant for weight or to secure the helmet, only the end of the strap when buckled. It's very a comfortable and secure fit.The visor is a handy feature. It's left-hand operated and has two positions. The first position stops at my eye level, the second goes down to the bridge of my nose (somewhat rounder face). It does not prevent air/debris from entering under the visor, so you still need eye protection. However, the tint is great for the sun, so you can wear your glasses or clear goggles under (which are more appropriate for night riding than the visor). There were a few smudges on the visor, so I just wiped it with a clean cloth. It had some lubricant or oil on it from the manufacturer. A quick wipe with the bottom of a cotton t-shirt cleared it right up. The visor goes fully into the helmet, so you don't have to use it. Goggles, riding glasses, and prescription glasses all should fit easily under the visor when down, and definitely when up. All of the complaints I read about the visor are explained by user error (glasses don't fit behind, bottom edge only comes down to eye level, and is blurry or smudged). As another buyer mentioned, it is DOT approved so the thickness from liner to outer shell is over an inch. Overall, while it is a tad bulky, it's not overly bulky. It still looks good when worn, without sacrificing protection.Very happy with the purchase, and will look at Torc helmets for my wife because of this experience.

Not loose that it feels like it rattles around without the chin strap cinched up ...
On Sizing: I ordered a large, you should know that I wear a 7 1/2 hat size with a short hair cut.The large size fit my head well. Snug. Not tight enough to give you the headache from an over tight helmet. Not loose that it feels like it rattles around without the chin strap cinched up tight. On Looks: good looking helmet. But since it is a DOT half helmet that means there is about 1" of padding between your head and outer layer. This is NORMAL for actual melts and you do get a bit of the "mushroom look" with it. But once I drop the lens/visor down it actually mitigates that. The Visor. Heard lots of complains in the reviews about the Visor being blurry to the point of unusable. And yes, if you pull it out of the box and put it on and drop the visor it seems blurry! But this was not really the plastic. I cleaned the visor with lens wipes (for glasses, camera lenses) and removed whatever oily substance was on the plastic and it is MUCH better! Is it perfect like a pair of polarized 200 dollar sunglasses? no. But it is clear enough that I have ridden 100 miles with it through traffic and on the highway and feel perfectly comfortable. This is great for me as my regular glasses are fairly small and dont block the wind, but I can wear them behind this visor and the wind block is great around the eyes. The chin strap: it is a typical config with two D fasteners that you have to pull the strap through. I wish more helmet manufacturers would just go to a quick release already, but since this is pretty normal I am not going to ding this helmet.Value: Decent value. I bought 3 different helmets on-line from three diff manufacturers (all half helmets) and this is the one I decided to keep for myself. I will keep on of the other 2 for passengers.Overall people mostly gripe about sizing (hard to get right unless you know your size w/ that manufacturer) or the Visor clarity (CLEAN IT FIRST WITH ALCOHOL AND TOWELS OR A LENS WIPE FRONT AND BACK!, or the chin strap, which I found pretty normal across helmets I tested.

Respect, honor, and glory on a budget
This helmet is great. It looks cool, feels nice and comfy on my melon. Doesn't turn in the wind. Having a tinted visor on it not only helps me see better on sunny days, but can add an extra layer of protection on days when the bugs are swarming. I don't recommend it at night though, as it's pretty dark. I also haven't seen the visor fog up yet, and I rode through some pretty thick and cold fog up into the mountains. It's got a few issues though. First, make sure that you order the smaller size, especially if you're at the edge of the next size up. Otherwise, it looks like a huge bowl on top of your head. Next, don't pull the visor down too hard. It'll pop right out of the slip and stay stuck with a visible line of sight to the sun that you're trying to avoid. You'll have to pull over and take it off to force it back into the slip. Speaking of visor, the shape of the visor has a weird bulbous/convex shape that actually messes with your vision on the road, so use it sparingly. The strap isn't as comfortable as I would like. I'll probably order some sort of padding for it to to keep it from tearing the skin on my neck and chin. I just keep it really tight, because it does pick up wind. I can feel it wanting to be pushed back at high speeds, so I make sure that my strap is nice and tight. Finally, mounting an intercom/headset is a bit of a pain as the only place where you can slide the fitting into is closer to the rear rather than on the side as I would have liked, but it still works and looks good.Other than that, it's easy to clean and makes you look like a badass, ready to hunt down those outlaws who don't respect your roads (self defense skills not included). Gives you a bit more respect from the other riders (body of 'The Rock' also not included). As much as I enjoy being admired by my fellow bro, chicks don't care what you wear on your head. They just want to see what you have between your legs.
