Perfect plastic straw alternative
I needed straws for a lesson aid to teach my students about insect proboscis. These worked brilliantly, and I didn't feel guilty buying them since they are non-plastic and biodegradable. I used them at my last dinner party and they were a hit. They last many hours, even in hot liquids, and do not have a taste or smell like other eco-friendly straws I have used in the past.

Great straws!
These are some of my favorite disposable straws by far. They do not get soggy like the paper straws do and yet they are still an environmentally friendly. They also look really cute.A

Great straws, have been useful for our home bar and daily coffee
Bought these for cocktails on our home bar. Originally thought they looked weird, but after using them for a while, I think they're great. They hold up REALLY well in drinks, don't fall apart like the paper straws, but are evidently better for the environment than plastic straws. I cut about half of them short to use in shorter tiki glasses, and they work well for that too.

Functional straw
These are the only biodegradable straws that I have found that work in hot beverages. The only thing about that is that you can't stir it around, or else it starts to malform. However, when it does that, I just flip it upside down, and then it seems to pop back into place. If you don't stir it, there is not problem. It also is much better than paper straws. It's not just like plastic, but it works great for a biodegradable straw.

Nice alternative to plastic - though not sippy straws!
These a great non-plastic straws! Some details: o The feel is a thin reed-like texture. o They do NOT get soggy and fall apart like paper straws. o They are brittle, so not bite-able like plastic. o They are not so brittle to break with vigorous stirring or any normal use. Pretty durable for a non-plastic straw. o They are short FULL-sized width straws... Not cocktail sippy straws. This isn't clear in the product description. So, overall - Great alternative to plastic, which will eventually biodegrade. Do wish they had a real cocktail slow-sipping alternative.

Einwandfrei! Einwegtrinkhalme zum bezahlbaren Preis und biologisch abbaubar. Halten eine ganze Weile nicht wie die Papphalme, die in kurzer Zeit aufweichen, Kann ich nur empfehlen!

I was looking for a straw that isn't plastic or paper. Pictures and description were ideal for what I was looking for. In fact, what I received has nothing to do with what was described. The "straw" looks like hay, at the look, at the touch, but also as it is so fragile. It breaks very easily and most of them ARE already broken, hence, unusable. They may probably be environment friendly, but you can't even use them as straws. They would probably be helpful if you have rabbits. Very, very disappointing. Do not waste your money for these hay sticks.
