I bought these to snap into a pole extending system, to lock the poles together.They are sturdy and strong and the ball bearings are sprung well so they stay in place.I hope they are 316 Stainless as the poles are for a boat that will be on the sea, time will tell!!! However so far they have been good.

I tested them in a 9mm hole. They were fine.I’d expect 9mm to be their limit, a 9.5mm hole would be too big to retain the ball.Their split rings are also robust and won’t fail you.

I am using it to quickly lock into place my wheels for chicken tractor.I am right on the Scottish coast so corrosion resistance is important for me.I was going to make my own pins but at the cost these sells for it is a much more elegant solution.Strong ring in the end for pulling out

These quick release pins are solid stainless steel and of good quality and fairly heavy duty. Don't see them breaking and will get good use out of them.

Got these to use as a quick disconnect for my solar panel I mount to the roof of my Nissan Xterra. They work great and are super strong and since they are stainless steel they won’t rust!
