Convenience Concepts Northfield Admiral Coffee Table with Shelf, Gray Faux Marble

I got this table because real marble is expensive and most of my clients thought it was really marble. It’s pretty sturdy and was easy to assemble.

Absolutely love it. Love the color and finish. Very slick. Has plenty of space underneath to put stuff which is very convenient too. Some things to keep in mind however. The package is VERY heavy, so it was hard to move around. Furthermore, the assembly instructions call for glue, which surprised me, but I decided to assemble it without glue and it turned out just fine! Just know that it comes with a small tube of glue in the package, so you do not need to buy your own, which is nice.

I love these tables! I ordered two; one for a stand under my tv, and one for a coffee table. Boy am I not disappointed! I was worried after ordering and reading the reviews online, that they would come damaged or difficult to assemble, but they weren’t. I’m a 41 year old female, and I assembled both by myself. You have to take your time, and read/follow the directions thoroughly. The little silver round screw holders ( I don’t know what they’re called ) that go in the sides of the side panels, have to be installed with the arrow facing up toward the hole. Pay attention to the pictures! Once you put the top on, the screws will slide in to those little screw holders, then you carefully and slowly push them in all the way, while tightening them to lock the top in place. Don’t over-tighten, or the top will crack. There were a few places along the seems where the paint was rubbed off. I took white nail polish and dabbed it on, now you can’t see it at all. I highly recommend these. For the price, modern look, and sturdiness alone; you can’t beat them!

The wood construction is sturdy and worth the price. However, the tools and assembly design was confusing as Hell. They really overthought what was needed. They included these weird-looking screws and cork, and glue, and it just didn't make any sense. It's simple. There are 8 corners that need to be fastened together. I took my drill and re-drilled 8 holes, and then took my own wood screws and fastened everything together.

The product we received had a section with missing paint, and it looked like someone used white caulk over the missed area. That is the best part of this product. It is literally impossible to put together. It was not constructed correctly. The 4 main screws used to secure the sides to the bottom are flat head screws, and the holes in the wood were way too short, therefore, the screws do not screw in all the way. My husband had to drill holes deeper into the wood, which still did not work as we didn't have drill bit long enough. Since the screws are flatheads, they are not designed to pull into the wood or drive deeper. We were unable to assemble and are requesting a refund, and just going to trash it. I realize with products at this price point, can be hit or miss but to not be able to assemble (and we are overall pretty handy and it seems this is common) its not worth the risk of purchasing, there are plenty of others out there with a higher percentage of working out.

I gave it 2 stars because it technically lasted 3 years… This thing wobbled like crazy from day one! This is just not a sturdy design and it seems like they did nothing to attempt to help it be more sturdy.We kept it for 3 years because we’d just bought our house so had too many moving pieces of different furniture we were buying and assembling to send it back. I wish we made the time though. After avoiding touching it for 3 years because we would hear cracks every time we touched it, we finally gave up. I can’t even put this on Craigslist for anything but free because it feels wrong to take people’s money for this.

I like the coffee table. It’s just the right size. Very sturdy. But it came chipped all along the edges. The seller should include some touch up paint.
