Acuva ArrowMAX 2.0 UV-LED Water Purifier, Under Sink Water Filter System with Smart Faucet, Universal Power Supply, Brushed Nickel Faucet, Gold Case

I have been living aboard my boat for years and have always struggled to find the perfect water purification system. I tried filtering before I fill the tank, but didn’t like the taste of tank water. The systems they sell at West Marine are huge, complicated to install and the filters don’t last that long. I’m super pick about water and always resort to a high end countertop unit. A couple weeks ago a friend recommended I check out the Acuva ArrowMax 2.0. I did some research and found that checked all of my boxes. It looked small and compact, easy to install, filter takes out contaminants but leaves minerals and lasts for 3 years, kills bacteria and viruses with UV, and comes with all of the parts so I could to it myself. It arrived 2 days after placing the order. The instructions were well written and simple and had a nice diagram that was easy to follow. It came with an AC or DC option and would be simple to change between the two for future trips. The spigot itself is really nice to touch and has a cool light that shows it’s on and working when you’re getting water. It turned out I had to go to a plumbing store and get an additional fitting as I have very old discontinued plumbing on my boat (polybutylene), so had to adapt it to PEX, which I was able to do with the help of their excellent customer service department who answered my question about the adapter. If I had PEX it would have taken about an hour to install. I am so so so happy to have finally found an answer to my clean drinking water issues! It tastes so clean and I love having easy, unlimited access to drinking water. Bye bye to refilling the water picture, hello countertop space! I will definitely be recommending this to my fellow boating friends.

Though expensive to install, better if you yourself are handy with electric and plumbing, this is worth it! Florida tap water is horrible. We were buying jugs of water, then refilling 6-8 of them at a time at the grocery store. Became a bit annoying. The Acuva, installed under the sink, with it’s own tap, takes the horrible tastes out of the water. It is perfect for filling the coffee pot, for drinking water and for making better ice cubes. Will pay for itself slowly, but the time to fill and carry water cannot be monetized.

Then plastic faucet nut does not tighten very tight but good and useful and the water taste and smell is exultant and is recommended if you don't have a good water faucet and works for entire house fold.

I love this water filter. It was a fairly straightforward install. There was a minor leak initially but it was an easy fix by changing out on of the fittings that came with it with something a little better quality. That’s my only complaint. Since then it’s been great & im so happy we purchased this filter. So much better than a big water container on the counter taking up space and no more wasting money on bottled water. We use this water in our coffee pot & no more mineral deposit there. Love it!

I ordered this for my home off the coast of Honduras (Utila). It takes about 30 days for packages to arrive on the island. About 3 days after installing this, it failed. I called the company from Honduras, they apologized and said they would send a replacement. I am only on the island part of the year, so the next time I went down, I brought the new UV light with me. Within hours of connecting it, I again got the dreaded "red light", which means the unit failed. Now I cannot get the company to back their product. They refused delivery of the package (sent with the RMA label that THEY provided me) containing both failed lights. They refuse to simply refund my purchase price. Horrible experience with a very poor product.

I installed this in our Class A motorhome and really love it. We've never been too excited to drink campground water even when going through 2 filters before getting to the sinks. Now with the Acuva we have complete confidence in drinking that water for coffee, cooking, for making ice cubes, etc. No more buying bottled water in 16 oz. or gallons. Was not too difficult to install after watching YouTube videos. Has become one of the favorite mods we've done to the RV.

UPDATE: 3 months in, the device stopped working. Verified power to the unit, going to order it again with the 3 year replacement. Too bad, we really liked the taste of the water.Everything is included in the kit, even a direct to 12v power lead if you don’t want to have a 110 ac to 12v dc adapter. However, The idea of a brass ferrell to a 1/4 OD tube is lost on me. Save yourself some frustration and order a compression fitting to 1/4 tube adapter. I fought with the brass ferrell leaking for an hour before I went to Lowes to grab the adapter. Otherwise, this is a very impressive kit, easy install, works as designed. I’m going to go test the water for bacteria and make sure my RV Tank water is safe to drink. I’m tired of hauling bottled water and we boondock in our toy hauler for months at a time.

We originally installed the Acuva on our liveaboard boat to purify the water we made from the ocean. When we got home to ‘land living’ after our 2 year boat adventure we kept filling up jugs of water in the boat drinking “boat water” bc it tasted so much better than bottled or tap or brita. We finally caved and bought one for the house when Amazon had a sale.In fact we love the taste of the Acuva water so much my daughter is actually doing a science fair project to see if cleaner water ‘tastes better’…. So she’s having everyone taste tap, brita, bottled and Acuva water.We are banking everyone likes the Acuva water best.

I was very impressed with Customer Support.- Customer Support answered all my pre sales questions quickly and despite the higher cost of the ArtowMAX Home system, I decided I had enough of screwing around with quartz tubes, seals, ballasts and mercury UV bulbs burning out.Packaging- Excellent packagingQuality- Substantial metal thickness unlike my old mercury UV Sterilizer. The reactor chamber would flex due to temperature and cause leaks. The ArrowMAX Home will not flex as it is solid.- Comes with all the necessary bits.- Good manual.Installation - Some thought needs to be done in advance to determine placement for mounting, plumbing, wiring and panel placement constraints.- flow meter must be on the outlet and must be mounted vertically- I installed a 3/4” MPT with a union on the Flow meter to allow for tightening and future maintenance. When I screwed in the 3/4” MPT adapters into both sides of the 3/4” flow meter , they both bottomed out rather than just being thread tight. This does not allow much tightening and relies on the thread sealant. - I added an Automatic Air Release Valve due to a dogleg I have in my piping and I wanted to be sure the upper UV Led end cap would have no air entrapment and possibly cause over heating. I doubt I needed to do this but given the cost of replacement UV LEDs, I felt this was good insurance. - Nice reactor chamber mounting clamps- I also liked the the panel mountMonitor & Internet- Monitor mount location governed by wire length.- All electrical connections done and then plug it in. The monitor panel fires right up.- Good information on the monitor and in the app.- Very easy Wifi on-boarding. I wish all IoT devices were this straightforward.- Uses WPA2 and 2.4GHz band- App setup was straight forward.- Once you choose your home wifi network you cannot change it without deleting your existing ArrowMAX Home device and start the setup process again. Not a big deal.- Also my home system has a number of filters (4) that in some cases automatically regen so I just identified the filter as other “ Iron & Softener” and set the water quantity as a bunch of 9999999’s as I am not interested in using the app to remind me of filter changes and the app seems happiest if you identify that you are using a “filter”.Operation- It is very much a set it and almost forget it. The app and the monitor are easily accessible to see if you have an issue and it can send notifications.- I did not disassemble the end caps because I did not want to impact my warranty.Conclusion I am very pleased with the design and construction of the ArrowMAX Home. I look forward to not having to deal with the many issues my old mercury based UV sterilizer design required me to manage. The ArrowMAX Home cost is not insignificant but if you factor in the cost of replacement parts of a conventional system, power consumption and the maintenance, it shrinks the gap.It is anticipated that the life expectancy of the UV LEDs will increase and that the cost of replacement will decrease.I am not affiliated with the company or was I given any incentive to write this review. I paid for the ArrowMAX Home using my own money and felt that I should help others learn about the my experience with this system.I have just installed this system so I do not have much operational experience with it and frankly I do not anticipate any issues until the UV Led requires replacement in approximately 3 years.

Works great in my Ford transit for drinking water

This thing takes all chlorine and living organisms out of your water and tastes great. I had one issue where the tap wouldn't shut fully and would drip. I contacted customer service and they shipped a new faucet to my door within 2 days. Five-star customer service with Acuva, and I totally recommend this product!!!!

I took a long time searching for the right system for my fifth wheel. A lot of companies make great claims but they are not substantiated by anything. This unit has multiple certifications and operates by both filter and UV. I feel confident drinking the water that comes from it. Installation was straightforward although I did have a question. I contacted the company and they responded very quickly and were great to work with. After researching what I believe was every unit out there that I could use in my trailer it was by far the best option. And as an added bonus, the flow rate is very good.
