Powerful tool - it will pull the nails out for you!
A very nice tool very powerful and works very well. Most eject and now this will actually pull it if you can get the claw under the head. It is surprising how hard and fast it’ll pop a nail out! I really like having this!

With ½"+ nail head raised and up to 120psi, you should be good to go
I purchase the nail remover to help disassemble pallets which, because of the twisted shank nails that were hammered into mostly hardwoods, were a royal PIA to disassemble. It was when I had to resort to a 2 1/2' pry bar for the worst nails that I realized I was working too hard.I first bought the nail "shooter" which pushed nails back through from the sharp tip and THAT tool was simply amazing. However, when I only had access to the *head* of the nail it was no good. I then got this tool and here's what I found:(1) You will need to have pryed out the nail at least ½" (preferably more) in order to get this tool's "claw" into position and have a chance at success.(2) Crank up your psi to the tool to the max recommended - 120PSI. Any less and your chances of removing the really stuck nails goes way down.(3) Because the upward ramming against the nail head is what is needed, if you don't have at least that ½" of space, it just won't work. SO, you may need to pry the nails a little more if the tool isn't having any success.(4) Smooth shank nails should be a breeze assuming, of course, a minimum of ½" gap (preferably more). That said, longer nails in harder wood will always be more of a challenge(5), the tool will leave indents in the wood as it "shoots" the nail up and out. Be aware of this if you want to preserve the surface of finer woods.(6) The tool is amazing, truly, if you remove a lot of nails. I was able to complete in 45 minutes what first took me 4 hours and a lot work and pain.SO, it is worth it? I am going to be making crafts with old pallet wood so I anticipate using the tool frequently. For me, the answer is yes. If I were to use it infrequently, the $150-ish price I paid would be a little steep.

A huge labor and time saver.
Didn't completely knock out all the nails but absolutely worth the money. Seems well built. Saves time and effort. No regrets.Compared to having to straighten a nail just to hit it with a hammer and in the course, bend nearby nails, hands down better. You stick the narrow nose over a nail and straighten it in one move and then pop, either completely out or more often, you have an exposed head to pry on and a nail that is no longer locked in.Used on pallets made strictly out of 2×4 spruce/pine, it knocked almost all the nail tips flush for the most part but not out and that was at (accidentally) 120+ psi, (110 p.s.i. recommended max) so I still had to pry them out. At 110, several required extra shots. On typical dried out pallets it knocked about 1/2 completely out.It is a bit dangerous as there is no safety to prevent accidental triggering.I used it for 8 hours over the course of a couple days, some 700 nails and no major issues.

This may work on thin wood, but did not work at all for me.
This may work on thin wood, but did not work at all for me. A long crowbar did a better job.

This one is better
I bought another brand of nail puller which was black and came up first in the list when sorted by average customer review. Shortly after I began pulling nails with it, the piston jammed on a smaller nail that I couldn't remove no matter what I tried, so I had to toss it.It left a bad taste in my mouth having to throw out a brand new tool with hardly any use. After some time passed and I got over my frustration, I looked for another brand, and settled on this one. I have removed about 100 nails of all sizes without a jam or issue of any kind. I won't go into how it works, lots of others have done that - you center it over the nail, hit the trigger and make sure there's something to collect the nail shooting out the other side. I suggest a trash can or cardboard box with something in it like rags, sawdust, trash, etc. because it does come out with force. Also, try to center the nail a bit instead of letting it ride up the side. I suspect that is more likely to cause jams with the pistons.I'm happy that I found one that works because I really did want to have a pneumatic nail remover that I could depend on. So if you had bad luck with the other one that's sold here, give this one a shot. I liked it so much, I bought the other two removers, though I haven't needed them yet.

Time saver.
Worked excellent. Allows most used lumber to be reused without much hassle. Shoots the nail right out the other side of lumber. Air pressure can be turned down to it if you are using it to remove something like finishing nails and don't want them coming out so hard or fast.
