Nova Nutritions Melatonin 10 mg 120 Tablets

In another lifetime (it seems), and for too many years, I worked third shift in a computer room and now, even years later, I still have trouble getting to sleep at what most would consider a "normal" hour. Anyway, I recently bought two different off-brand melatonin products (including this one), and I can honestly say that this one works very well and is at least as good as, if not better than, any of the major brands I've used throughout the years! The other lesser-brand that I recently bought and tried (not a slow-release tablet like this one) didn't even make me a little drowsy and seemed to cause some possibly serious side effects that were very scary (check my other reviews), but, this one, from Nova, works great with absolutely no bad side effects. Matter of fact, I like Nova Nutrition's Slow-Release Melatonin so much that I'll be ordering it again and again (as long as the price is reasonable). Anyway, after having such a bad scare with the other off-brand melatonin, it's nice to know I can depend on a melatonin that's so very cost effective to help me get to sleep at night. As an additional plus, I understand that melatonin has many health benefits, too numerous to list here, so it's a good idea to take it whether or not you experience insomnia. At any rate, for me, this brand of melatonin is a winner!

Useless product. I took as directed several times and never did it cause me to feel drowsy. I ordered this product because it claimed these 10mg tablets were maximum strength. What a laugh! I did not see the brand I like for sell on Amazon, but they come in a small plastic bottle and the Label just says Melatonin, white lettering on a green label. They come in 60 tablet 3mg bottle and produced by K.S. International. I only need to take @1/3 of one tablet to feel drowsy, and if I haven't eaten before bed they work very quickly. I have to be careful with these pills, though, because if I take more than 1/3 tablet I have very vivid, and unpleasant dreams. I'm baffled how a 1/3 milligram of this superior product can be so much more potent that this 10mg junk from Nova! Don't waste your money on this product.

For several years I was not able get a good nights sleep. Part of the issue was being on the computer until the wee hours of the morning, which threw my entire cycle off. I needed to get back to a "Normal Sleeping Pattern. It took me a couple of weeks before I noticed becoming tired at 8 or 9 p.m. After years of missing day time events with family, I was finally able to go to bed and get a good nights sleep with the help of this product.It has changed everything, now I can be the Grandmother I wanted to be, by being able to assist when others are awake. Good stuff. I have fibromyalgia and terrible trouble staying asleep. Start low, about 3 mgs. and work your way up.Tried lower amounts but did not work. I take this and a benadryl and sleep 8 hrs. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep. May cause vivid dreams, but I find that a plus.

I returned this item immediately. I have used Nature Made melatonin for a while, and bought this one thinking maybe the slow release would benefit in extending my sleep past the typical 6 hours I tend to get. It had ZERO effect at all, with the 3mg of the other brand I'd take three tablets, and would be conking out in about an hour, one tablet of this stuff didn't do a thing!
