Wide they are, Need a second sock to for a Great fit. Next time I will get the standard size. Boots are of premium heavy grade leather uppers. Excellent multiple stitching, with rivets at high stress points. Goodyear welts make for great waterproofing. The speed eyelets are very large and very user friendly. The boot pull-up loop is even big enough for your finger, Amazing. Soles are extremely rugged and comfortable. Upper ankle pads show no sign of wear yet. Routing of laces make for quick and easy tightening. I have had one lace fail, but who cares. These boots are made for durability, comfort and Bang for the Dollar. Great job. Must say I will definately buy these again, but I don't think I can wear them out. Thumbs Up !!!!!!!!!!!
