I recommend picking this up; don't hesitate. I compared the spool to the one I got with my Black & Decker and it's exactly the same except for amissing Black & Decker logo. It looks like this was made using the same mold. The line works perfectly and I've had no complaints. At $1.50 per spool instead of $5.00, you can't go wrong. And, although I didn't need a new cap, I went ahead and popped this one on anyway - it fit perfectly.

Fits a model GH900 perfectly. Line feeds out nicely during a trimming session. Trimmed crabgrass, dandelion, stinging nettle and dollar weed without a hesitation. After 40 minutes of trimming we measured 171 inches of line remaining on the first sprool. So far, we're satisfied with this purchase.

Fit mtc-220 mower edger. Fed line like brand new, had been restringing oem spool guess it wore out. The old cap was worn down, I think this one might last longer since lines on bottom are thick. The spring has about same tension as oem. Will see how string holds up over time. Lube the auto feed pal with silicone spray or dry Teflon lube to keep it moving and clean out any grass inside housing!

I purchased this package last fall. I usually bought name brand string that I hand wound onto the original spool. I could go a long time on one spool and it fed without issues. My yard is about .3 acres. This brand drove my crazy! It breaks off constantly. Then, it won't feed the string. I have to let go of the power button so it will decelerate for it to feed out the string. Then, I press my power button to hopefully go 10 feet without it breaking. It's this constant issue. It breaks, but won't feed. I turn off the power (depress button) for it to feed, then press button again to continue. UGH! Will never buy again. Parts all fit my GH600 Black and Decker. But, hate the issue feeding. I am going to my local home improvement store to buy string and hand wind again. Cheaper and better.

Absolute crap! Most of the line on the spools is either all the way off or coming off. They were too lazy to place a piece of tape on the line so it wouldn’t come off the spool! I have bought several spools like this one, and this is the first time I’ve seen this! Will never do business with this group again! What a joke!
