**Q: Will this bit drill cast iron pipe?**
A: I have used the bit on stainless, carbon, galvanized, and aluminum. One recurring issue is as each step breaks through, it catches and hard stops the bit. That action might cause cast to crack, especially on the larger diameter holes.

A: This is a step drill. It has no threads
