Good deal, work great
Really like these. Very helpful in tight spots. Good illumination and convenient power button. Adjustable strap is easy to use and is comfortable to wear.

Get them before you really need them.
Good value on a good product that even comes with Eveready batteries. Just got these a couple weeks ago and hadn’t tried them out yet. Then for three days over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the Central Coast of CA experienced extraordinary wind events with rain on and off; trees down, power poles down, etc. Christmas Eve, power out for 18 hours. Christmas Day, power out for 34 hours. Used the headlamps continually for neighborhood checks, debris removal, camp stove cooking, and just getting around the house. They even work very well for book reading, when power, cable, internet, WiFi are all down. Enough said. I will be ordering more. You should definitely get them, just in case.

very, Very, VERY good deal at 5 for about $15. SIGNIFICANT advantages. ABSOLUTE BARGAIN
Very good deal at 5 for about $15. Less than $3 each in January 2026. About 160-180 lumens probably, very adequate indoors. Bit low for outdoors. Single switch on, low, off- perfect!! You can get up to 400 lumens on some models but will pay 4+ times more. Energizer generally are brighter than Eveready. There are at LEAST 7 -10 types in these 2 brands. Some have more complex, confusing buttons & assorted light colors. The light color is bluish tint white. Color temperatures (Kelvin) also vary in these lights, yellower generally are preferred but that is seldom mentioned. These do come with batteries. The battery compartment is well designed. Compact & very lightweight. The adjustable strap stays on well, an issue with some brands. The head rotates down nicely to full 90 degrees with 4 positions- much better than many. On line you can see price/longevity AAA battery comparisons. Generally the cheapest is fine, about 18 cents each in batches of 100. One thing seldom noted is in most batteries there is VERY high variability from battery to battery so to get reliable information of brand comparisons high numbers over YEARS would be required but rarely done. ALL ALKLINE batteries can leak in certain circumstances!!! LEAKPROOF IS A MYTH. AGE, BEING DELETED, TEMPERATURE are the biggest factors in leaking. In a vehicle is one of the biggest leak risks as temperatures vary tremendously. ALL ALKALINE batteries have to give off gas so are designed to do that allowing for leakage sooner or later. A very few manufacturers SAY they will repair or replace devices damaged by leakage. If it is an expensive device, it may be useful but generally in many cases VINEGAR, time & a Q-tip will do a good job mostly. A bit of solder or a cut, re-bent or replaced spring can do wonders too. Generally switching to nickle metal rechargeables is a great idea VASTLY lower leak potential. In 20 years I have never seen a leak in one.

Lamp isn't attached to strap on opening
First you should know the light itself is NOT attached to the strap and how to attach it is not immediately clear - no instructions come with the product nor are they on this page. Since straps are actually circular with no ends it wasn't clear to me until I looked at my old headlamps. The attachment openings on the lamp itself have a side opening into which you can slide the strap. Maybe that is immediately obvious to some but seeing as the lamp is a very dark color I couldn't easily see the opening until I found it on my old headlamp. So now you know, and you may want to be sure to attach straps and lamps before use as fumbling in the dark with it could be frustrating. The lamp is very bright and the batteries that came with mine do work although I don't know how long is their life. The strap seems strong and soft. Hope this makes initial opening easier for someone!

Just an amazing value for this much utility
These headlamps are the perfect intersection of great price and better utility. On one hand, it's only a few dollars each but on the other, they provide so much help to you when you need it the most. Let's start with the packaging: admittedly this is weakest part. You get just one box that holds all your batteries, lamps and headstraps. They could have made individual packaging for each headlamp, thereby letting us give out a clean package to other people or keep one in each drawer around the house and in one little box. Also, the batteries and strap are not installed. This is fine if you got 10 minutes to kill while watching TV but a tad annoying if you haven't done this beforehand and are fiddling with it in the dark. Most other headlamps have straps attached and have a tab to pull on pre-installed batteries so it's definitely feels a bit DIY. The lamps: These are very bright and very easy to use. They fit snug against your head and even have a little concave plastic tab that fits against your forehead and moves up and down. There's one button that toggles between BRIGHT, less bright and off. I'm glad there's no more buttons or features than that. I have fancier lights that toggle between 3-4 brightness levels and/or flashing modes or have multiple buttons and it's completely useless. 99.9% of customers are going to be just people with power outages and people going back to their tents from the campfire while camping. For those few hikers who feel like they could get lost, be in the dark and need emergency flashing functions to signal rescuers, I guess consider other lamps. That's it! These can make a perfect low-cost gift if you don't mind not having its own box. Even if not a gift, just buy this and throw it in the drawer. I can't stress to you how useful these things are in a power outage. From going downstairs and being able to hold the railing, traversing the DARK basement to flip a breaker or going to the garage to get a generator going, having your hands free is paramount and just plain easier. Best yet, you can turn it on , stick the light upwards in the air and get enough light in the room to actually do things even if you don't want it on your head. This thing blinded me when I looked at it so it's plenty bright. The build doesn't look too waterproof so watch out for rain. It's also 90% plastic. That helps with the weight but I'm sure you could snap a piece if you didn't watch it. Not sure about battery life but it's LED and 3 AAs. I'm sure it lasts plenty long. That's it. Great product. Highly recommended, especially at the low BF prices I've seen it at.

Great value for basic headlamps for kids and casual use.
There is a lot to like about these - There are only 3 modes, high, low and off. While the device does not support "one-click-off" after being on for a while (my favorite feature of headlamps that have many modes), it's only ever one or two clicks away from being off. The headlamp is lightweight and not likely to slide down your face while wearing it and moving your head a lot. The headband is wide and at least starts out with excellent elasticity, as I have not had them for very long to determine if it stays that way. Time will tell. The triglide adjustment is the best - after you adjust for size, the headband does not slip and loosen up. It also easily adjusts small enough for a 5 year old's head, which is why I got these. Our grandchildren love to play outside at night and have their own personal light. The price is excellent for a 5-pack, and even though the included batteries are predictably lightweight and unlikely to last very long, at least they COME with batteries!

Price And quality
Excellent and quality headlights. Comes with plenty of batteries. The complaints won’t come from me because they’re great. I would buy them again.
