Had to return as it didn’t work.

I keep buying these Ydisk back up thumb drives impulsively and then I kick myself! The idea is sweet and simple and that why I keep buying them but they are useless. My intended use is to back up my photos from my iPhone and clear space. It SHOULD be easy, right? You plug it in, it triggers the iPhone to download the Ydisk app and choose to either download photos, music, or contacts. The Ydisk software is so incredibly slow that a half hour passes and it says 3% download. And hour passes and it at 5%. Okay that’s really bad performance. And still I persist. I wait until night when I am down in bed and figure it will need the full night to download a backup of my photos. BIG MISTAKE. I connect the thumb drive, launch the Ydisk app, initiate the photo download and tuck myself in to bed. After many minutes the screen saver goes on and when I awake I reawake the iPhone and it says the thumb drive has been disconnected and the backup did not occur. I’ve never successfully completed a back up. I throw it in the desk drawer where electronic devices go to DIE and see that I have a gold one, a black one and now a red Ydisk thumb drive joining them. Just don’t buy this product again!

Loved this little device so much that I bought one for my friend for Christmas too! There is so much storage that I don't have to keep anything on my phone anymore. And it's easy to pull up on a computer - just make sure the USB port is clear on either side. My laptop didn't allow for a USB for my mouse and this USB next to it, it took up too much space in the port entry. If you have a case on your phone, you may have to remove it in order for the device to plug in.

I liked how small this product is. Also, liked how it fits right into my iPhone to be able to transfer photos easily. The app was easy to install. However it was difficult to use and understand the app.Therefore, I was unable to transfer my photos! It was very complicated, and I kept reaching a dead end after many tries. It kept bringing me back to my original page without performing g the transfer.~They really need to make this app work more smoothly for less tech-savvy people. Also, include far better instructions than what is included.One more thing!One more difficult thing, is I had to remove my iPhone casing in order to connect the flash drive. It wouldn’t plug in with out removing my case! -Which is inconvenient.

Only thing I don’t like about this product is the app is very confusing. It also takes quite a while to offload pictures from your phone to the device. It also did not save every picture I chose to be loaded onto it. That’s one of the things I am confused about. Maybe it’s just user error. It’s convenient though. Nice to have around to clear up space if you need it. Just sucks I couldn’t load every picture. Make sure to plug this thing into your laptop where you can view what it actually did save before you go and delete them off your phone.

I like that it hold a lot of storage and doesn't take long to update or back up

I purchased this so I could backup the pictures on my iPhone and it’s been an horrible experience. First, you have to download an app in order to transfer the photos and videos to the flash drive, then you have to keep your phone from locking because the whole transfer process will stop if your phone locks. After about 20-30 minutes of transferring the files I try to upload them in my computer and guess what?? Most of the files are corrupted!! A total waste of time!!!! Now I have to start over and select all of the files that didn’t get saved. It’s such a time consuming task. This device was supposed to be simple and easy to use, but it’s not worth the price. The only pros to this flash drive is the storage capacity and the pink color. I’m so disappointed I didn’t use it sooner so I could’ve returned it.

Al realizar las primeras conexiones vimos que las paginas no eran las correctas y me dio mucha desconfianza por eso ni lo he utilizado y aquí lo tengo Decepcionado por la compra

Lots of memory, however would like to see some form cover/protection for connectors.As my first memory stick was chewed up by conveyor belt I did appreciate Amazon’s quick response for a quick reorder and delivery.
