(in case i want to use it with a guitar amp instead of direct to pa?** A: Oh yeah, for bypassing the simulator you press on the switch and it turns the pedal off/on. you can use this as a preamp or a drive to get the AC flavour. The pedal itself isn't a cab simulator but more so copies the AC variety like a Drive pedal. The voice knob is the control for shaping the sound of the amp styles (inside the pedal) (I personally enjoy having the voice at 10o'clock.) I think this will do fine going into your chain and out to an amplifier.
