Very happy with the feeder. Works very well and is a great solution when leaving the kitties alone for a weekend. Bought it to use it with wet food and with the cooling aggregates food stays fresh.Shipment was super fast and great Customer Service from the seller.

I have cats which we leave at home when we work. This is very convenient as we just have to set it up and then it rations the food depending on the timing you set. We wanted to take extra ice packs but they're way to expensive! It's like buying a new set altogether.

I just got the cat mate today, and have tried to search the internet on how many hours exactly does the icepacks stays cold for so I could know if I could leave it for his morning and night meal. I feed my cat every 12 hours raw diet and I’m not sure if this will keep his food fresh for at least 12 hours... if any one could help me with this information I would be grateful! As sometimes I would be away for his two meals and I need to rest my mind that his food is fresh.

I have four cats and these feeders are great. I set them to go off at 6:30 AM and 12:30 PM to feed my cats a dry food breakfast and lunch. Now they don’t wake me up in the morning for breakfast. Also, since they all eat at the same time, no one cat goobles up all the food that might be left out in a bowl if you were to “free feed” (leaving kibble out all the time). The batteries last a long time, but they do get “out of sync” every few times I fill them up. So, I simply re-sync them once a week or so. I put the trays in the dishwasher about 1-2 a week, and the rest of the time rinse them out by hand. These really are a must have if you don’t want to be woken up in the morning by hungry kitties. It also helps with portion control and spreading their meals out through your work day.

My cat has IBD and eats small feedings of soft food five times a day. I was concerned, when she switched to soft food, about how she would get her meals if I had to leave her alone for longer than a few hours. She really likes this automatic feeder, and seems to prefer it to her regular dish. It seems well constructed. I bought it mostly for if I have to go out for a day or a night... Any longer and she'd have a cat sitter anyway, but this is a great help for shorter absences. I might start using it for overnight/early morning feeding when I'm home, too. I also use it when I'm unwell and not feeling up to feeding her 5x a day. I'm not a huge fan of plastic dishes (I usually get ceramic). But it's easy to clean. I love that it uses batteries, so there are no chewable cords. My only concern is whether the cold packs will be enough to keep wet food cold all day long. I've started freezing the meals, except for the initial meal in slot zero, and that seems to help - the meals defrost but still feel cold. I really like this automatic feeder, and it's been peace of mind having it around.Update: Raising my review to 5 stars... I have been using this almost every night overnight, lately, and also when I go out for a day and it's just brilliant. Such a great purchase! It'll also be good for her cat-sitter to use when needed. Also, once, it rotated with the top off and got misaligned, but it was easy to fix by pressing adjust plus the up button simultaneously and holding. I see online that there's a stainless steel food dish insert (instead of plastic) available on the product website... Would be awesome to have this available on Amazon!

Dieses Gerät hat nicht nur meinen Alltag erleichtert, sondern auch das Wohlbefinden meiner beiden Schnurrbärte (2 Kater jeweils 5 kg).Vorteile:Automatische Fütterung: Der Katzenfutterautomat ermöglicht eine zuverlässige und regelmäßige Fütterung meiner Katze, auch wenn ich mal nicht zu Hause bin. Das ist besonders praktisch bei unregelmäßigen Arbeitszeiten oder kurzen Ausflügen.Individuelle Portionierung: Die Möglichkeit, die Futterportionen individuell einzustellen, ermöglicht es, die Ernährung meiner beiden besser zu Takten. Eine direkte Kontrolle welcher der beiden wann und wie frisst ist natürlich nicht möglich.Frisches Futter: Der Automat schützt das Futter vor den beiden, unerwünschten Fliegen und beinhaltet die Kühlakkus, was die Frische länger bewahrt. Das ist nicht nur appetitlich für die Katze, sondern auch gut für ihre Gesundheit.Einfache Bedienung: Die Bedienung des Futterautomaten ist einfach und unkompliziert. Das kann ein Problem sein, wenn sich darauf verlassen wird.Lautstärke: Für mich ist der Automat erstmal etwas laut, vielleicht sollte es aber auch so sein um die Katzen zu locken.Insgesamt bin ich mit meinem Katzenfutterautomaten sehr zufrieden. Die Vorteile überwiegen bei weitem die Nachteile, und er hat sich als zuverlässiges Gerät erwiesen.Tipp: Ersatzakkus sowohl Strom als auch Kühlung gleich mitbestellen um immer etwas kühl zu haben ;-)

This is perfect - if your cat will use it!It will arrive in a sturdy cardboard container, with clear English instructions. Take the layers apart and check them against the instructions; it's really obvious what goes where and does what. Then add the batteries to their compartment and set the timer part. I am very good at making a mess of setting timers but I got this right first time. When the time comes for the compartment to open it does so easily and the whole compartment is then revealed. Re-filling and cleaning are easy to do because the layers are easy to remove and return, they fit and lock positively so you know you've got it right, and you can see which compartment needs to be in the start position.Please don't forget that you'd have to supply water and, depending on time scale, probably other food. I used mine for wet food so I could provide a separate supply of dry food. I had it in a cool room and providing food over approximately 12 hours.I bought it so that a friend looking after my cat could set it up at the start of the day and not have to come back until the next. The Cat Mate worked just fine. Unfortunately I couldn't teach my cat to use it. He's old and deaf and, although the noise when the compartments move round is - if you're asleep - a bit noisy - he remained oblivious to it. I opted to not teach an old cat new tricks but that's not the fault of this product. I still recommend it.
