Soles have rubber! Most kid's shoes are foam and they can easily slip on the playground. Materials used for cushion are premium and the shoes fit very well.

I thought these were really pretty and easy for my kindergartner to put on by herself in the morning. But on the first day wearing them, she came home and the fabric details around the back of the shoe were completely snagged and raggedy. It was both shoes, indicating that she hadnt just caught one on something. Its not something that can be fixed so I returned them.

Daughter refuses to wear them. Says they are uncomfortable.

Adorable sneaker. My 12 month old walks great in these. Fit as expected. Love that new balance has wide for chubby little feet!

Our son gets compliments on his red shoes everywhere he goes. Plus makes him easy to find haha we love them!
