The viking handyman rubber boot, vw3-1, is an all around workhorse. 100 percent waterproof and handcrafted from natural rubber. It's perfect for farm laborers, fisherman, and factory workers. It's manufactured with a steel toe and plane and is electric shock resistant, 18Kv. Viking boots are different from other boots because we foccus on safety, not as a guide - but as a philosophy, making sure every boot we produce exceeds the standards and embraces comfort and wellness for the wearer. We work with miners, foresters, fishermen, firemen and oil workers to understand their comfort issues and bring their responses to market in our boots. Great work boot
I've worn these for two months now at a construction site I work for and I'm completely satisfied. No punctures from the sharp rocks I walk over all day (like what happened to my last pair), steel toe is sturdy as it should be, they fit as expected (I feel you could just order what your shoe size is, rounding up if you're at a half size), and the price isn't $100 like similarly durable boots. Put in a couple of Dr. Schol's insoles and you can stand in these boots all day without your feet aching.

My foot is a 13.5 so I ordered the 14. Fit is as expected with the thick socks I wear with all my work boots. Which is to say that you wouldn't go running in them, but they allow for all day comfort. The tread on the bottom is not something I'm used to seeing on a shoe, but it is as pictured. It's not a boot tread. We will see about the durability.Edit: at 6month mark having worn these maybe 6 hours a week I notice the tread on the bottom is wearing a little more than I would have expected. Still comfortable and in good shape though. Deducting one star.

Tread design not as depicted
I needed a hard-toe rubber boot with a tread design that would not allow 5/8-inch gravel to become embedded in the tread, and would be easy to brush mud off of with an AstroTurf-type door mat or a "Scrusher". Hard to find, as most boots have deep tread with groove-spacing that is perfect for permanently collecting gravel, mud, and dog poop. It appeared from the picture of the sole that this boot would work. Nope. They have changed the tread design, giving it deep grooves, perfect for collecting said gravel, mud, and dog poop, so you have to take the boot off, turn it upside down, and dig out the stuff with a screwdriver. Returning.
