I’ve always loved macrame and I’ve been wanting to get into for a while now. I’m a complete newbie so this kit caught my eye and IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!This magical box comes with literally everything you need to get started, very easy and detailed instructions and tips, 3 completely different patterns to choose from that range in difficulty, AND links to video tutorials for each type of knot you’ll use - which are honestly the best step-by-step knot videos I’ve ever watched!Amazing customer service, high-quality and beautiful products, and all the help you could possibly need if you get confused. 5 stars!

I have been wanting to learn macrame for a while. This kit was great to get me started. I have not finished yet, but so far I have worked on the basic knots (I found the video tutorials super helpful), and started my first project - The Double Diamond Wall Hanger. So far, I have found the instructions very easy to understand. I will post an update once I have completed my wall hanger.

UPDATE: After posting the review, I was contacted by the seller who informed us Amazon had sent an incomplete kit. We worked it out with Amazon and got a replacement package, which WAS packaged in a box, with even more helpful material. It's been a fun side project for my daughter, she's loving learning macrame, and has no trouble following the instructions provided now that we have enough cording.It really is a great gift idea, or weekend project!We got this for my teen for her birthday, and when I got the package I was greatly disappointed in the packaging. It was just the stick, rope, and a paper booklet in a plastic bag. From the product photo, I was expecting a box for it to come in so I could just wrap it. Then, when my daughter went to use it, it didn't include enough rope for even one project- it only had 120 yards instead of the 220 described. She is really bummed, so I got online to write this review and order rope from someone else. She likes the project ideas included (even though we would like to know the finish sizes before beginning, not included), but it's null because she can't complete them. I'm being generous with the 2 stars because the project ideas are very cool for future use.

I love this macramé project! I'm not quiet finished, because I'm stretching it out over a few weeks to eat up some winter inside time. But so far, the instructions were simple to follow, and the online videos were even better for me as a visual learner. I have enough cord left over that I think I'll be able to do at least two projects total as one other reviewer stated (will just have to get another dowel). Overall, this is a great kit for beginners (I've never macrame-ed before) with a cool wall hanging as your end product.

This is the perfect starter kit for beginners. It comes with everything you need including a book that gives detailed step by step instructions on how to make 3 different projects ranging from super easy to challenging. In the front, they show you how to do all of the basic knots that will be used in the projects. The instructions are very easy to understand but if you happen to have trouble, they have a link/qr code in the book to access help. I used it quite a few times and their customer service is superb. Melanie is the founder and she is super sweet and helpful. All in all, this kit is amazing and I am so happy that I bought it. The only thing I will say is that I would suggest buying more cord and dowels if you plan on making more projects.
