Great little tool!!
Bought this to check the ventilation in my attic after a new roof was installed. Worked flawlessly and saved me a ton of time and effort. Glad I found this fine little gem! Also used it to check the return vents in my HVAC and worked great for that too!

Leaks, doesn’t produce smoke, highly returned item
Item did not produce hardly any smoke, was almost impossible to refill due to such small hole, and leaked all over the place. I was not able to use this for the intended task I purchased it for due to it not really doing anything.

Smoke
Works fairly well. Difficult to secure plug in fill port, so leaks at times. Pump trigger is inconsistent, large puff at times and less at times. Strength of batteries may have some affect on amount of smoke. I may need to learn to work it. Product met my needs.

Reliable and Affordable Smoke Pen for Airflow Testing
This smoke pen has been an incredibly useful tool for understanding air movement in my home, particularly for diagnosing radon mitigation effectiveness. It produces a steady, visible stream of smoke that makes it easy to track airflow patterns around vents, doors, and basement areas. The build quality is solid, and after months of use, it still performs just as well as when I first got it. It’s compact, easy to handle, and doesn’t create any mess or strong odors. Unlike DIY alternatives, this pen provides a controlled and consistent smoke output, making it much more reliable for precise testing. For the price, it’s an excellent value. Whether you're troubleshooting radon mitigation, HVAC efficiency, or general ventilation issues, this smoke pen is a must-have tool. Highly recommended for its durability, ease of use, and affordability!

Delicate & Easily broken
When it works it works well. The design needs refinement as fluid can easily leak into other parts of the unit, rendering it useless. The method of siphoning fluid from the unit after use is cumbersome and not always effective either

Great
This works great for finding even the smallest air leaks in ductwork

Waste of money
Cheaply made with poor documentation (for example, you’re instructed to install the batteries according to the polarity marks on the battery compartment. There are no polarity marks.). Two-stage operation— one button to activate the heating element and another to pump fluid over it— is clumsy. The pump malfunctions most of the time, pushing smoke fluid out of the rubber-stoppered fill port rather than over the heating element. On the rare occasions when it produces smoke, it doesn’t produce enough to be useful. TL;DR: A complete waste of money; a garbage product that no reputable dealer would sell. Sadly cannot give this zero stars. Tossed it in the trash and chalked it up as a learning experience.

Obsessed with finding drafts!
I got this to help identify drafts around windows, doors, walls…anything! It produces a white smoke which is easy to see with the green light it emits. It took a few tries to understand how to use it since directions were not the best. Lightly pull the button (not the pressure trigger thing) and it will begin to smoke.Pulling the trigger will create puffs or a lot of smoke at once but will also deplete the smoke so will momentarily need to create more.Overall it does exactly what I wanted it to for a fair price.
