For when you just want a PC fan to be a PC fan ... not a Christmas tree.
Fan. Easy to install. Functional. Low noise. Low cost.My PC's are in a cupboard where they belong (<30C, >40% humidity <60%, vented). I don't want to light them up like Christmas Trees and show them off. I want them hidden and to have good functional airflow so they operate well and their parts stay well maintained over time.Again: Fan. Easy to install. Functional. Low noise. Low cost.To use as as cool air intake: orientate correctly and install low front. To use as hot air exhaust: turn around and install high back.Any extra fans over this just spread the load with PWM, allowing for slower, and therefore quieter, spin speeds.Or you can fix a speed of one of your input fans with your PCs BIOS if you want to enforce a positive airflow to also reduce dust intake.I have no objections with these airflow augmentation devices. They are cheap, which is amazing, but more importantly, they do exactly what a fan is supposed to do, which is the real amazing. So why pay more than you need to?Would highly recommend.

Quiet, Smooth, and Excellent Value – A true price-performance winner
As someone who’s borderline obsessed with fan noise—especially high-pitched whines and bearing hum—I’m really impressed with the Arctic F12 fans. I bought them specifically to test against that kind of noise, and they’ve passed with flying colors.Yes, they’re an older design compared to the popular P12s, but there’s a good reason they’re still around. For case fan use, their performance is more than adequate, and the sound profile is noticeably better—smoother and quieter—than most static pressure-focused fans. They also handle low RPMs exceptionally well, which is crucial for silent builds. I even compared them with Noctua Redux models and ended up keeping the F12s. Not only are they significantly quieter in my setup, but they’re also much cheaper. If you care about silence without compromising airflow, these are a no-brainer.

Want to save your Onkyo receiver from dying..? Arctic F12TC are perfect!
The media could not be loaded. After only a few days of use, I noticed the top of my Onkyo TX-NR3030 receiver getting hot enough to fry an egg on, despite only being used at a reasonable volume. No way was I going to be able to put anything on top... and my cats soon decided that this was the purrfect place for a kip! A quick perusal of Onkyo-related forums revealed that this is the inexcusable case for almost all of their line of amps, so I decided to take affirmative action.YouTube gave me the solution: I made a 12v dc supply out of my old Sky router power supply, then headed to Amazon to order the bits... Hard as Nails double sided heavy-duty tape, a dual-fan power supply splitter harness, and two Arctic F12TC fans (see pics). Before undertaking the fitting of the fan I took a bag of copper heatsinks and plastered them all over the HDMI board (the two DTS chips bring the main culprits). I soldered the 12v supply to the pos/neg on the power board that goes to the 240v transformer output, so that the fans only work when the unit it on. The F12TC fans were carefully measured, traced with marker, then stuck into place and allowed to set for a few hours. The fans have a lead running from them with the temperature sensor on it, so you need to position those where the heat is greatest inside the receiver case before closing it up (use a reliable temperature gun if you can).In practice, the fans are silent, and do a great job of expelling the heat through the slots in the casing. Total cost was around £30 (without the heatsinks), and if it extends the life of an amp that cost £2,500 it'll be money/time well spent. The top of the amp is now cool, and my cats hate me. 👍😎

A really top quality fan at a great price!
A really top quality fan! Thus far this seems a good product. I have replaced a non adjustable fan (connected via a Molex plug) with this one so I can control the speed of the fan dependent on the CPU/Motherboard temperature. It has a 4 pin plug which allows the support of full PWM control. At slow to moderate speeds it is pretty much inaudible compared to the CPU fan (stock Intel fan) and even at full tilt the volume is very well controlled. It moves a lot of air too so a worthy upgrade. This fan is priced really well too.Sadly I have noticed it has dropped in price again since I purchased so it's even more of a bargain too.It has a fluid bearing too so I am hoping this lasts a long time, especially compared to sleeve bearing fans.As mentioned it is a shame the cable isn't sleeved to hide the ugly cable colours, but this is probably only important for those who take a particular interest in the way the inside of their case looks.Saying that the cable is long enough to reach your headers no matter where they might be on the board.I have reduced a star because my fan had a few blades that were a bit unfinished on the tips. It looked as though the machining had not made a clean cut on two of the blade tips which is a shame. I was able to tidy this by scraping the plastic off and thankfully it doesn't appear to create any vibration or noise issues.Overall, I am happy with the fan and I have other Arctic products so vouch for the quality.

Looks slick and runs silent in tests.
Got these as a recommendation from a friend and these were brilliant out the box.Installing was simple, connecting the fans together with the connector is easy to put on and remove. While I haven't played anything yet as I'm still in the process of building my first pc the fans during test runs to check temp on the bios works great and silent.Only had to use 4 for my case being the corsair 5000d core airflow so the spare can be used if there's a fault with one of then in the future.Would highly recommend.
