The microfiber “fingers” grab your hair strands and pull on them/rough up the hair cuticle causing frizz and damage. I was told to get a cotton turbie towel instead and IT WORKS GREAT!! I have a smallish head and type 3 curls/medium thickness/medium porosity but have different types mixed in. Some is way kinkier and way less porous and my hair takes hours to air dry. I no longer use heat and embrace my curls since using the curly method. No insoluble silicones or waxed at all and no harsh cleansing agents. Only clean ingredients and I use a CM friendly scalp scrub and detoxifying shampoo also. I only wash my hair every 6-10 days. This towel fits and stays on comfortably considering my hair is just above my waist. It’s absorbent and my curls look so much better than when I used microfiber that I bought another one of these cotton towels. They really are a nice, smooth cotton blend. The ONE COMPLAINT is the button is sewn on very weakly and it popped off and went down my drain after just a few uses. So I recommend reinforcing the button with extra thread. Hopefully the company reads this and will improve the button situation. But once the elastic loop wears out on these towels I’ll definitely buy these again to replace them!! Thank you for thinking of us curly girls/people who strive hard to keep our hair looking sleek as to avoid being called “messy” etc by society in general. It makes me sad that curly hair is looked upon as “wild”/“unprofessional”/“messy”/etc and most commercial ads I see show straight hair as being more “beautiful” :( We’re ALL BEAUTIFUL and us curly heads need more companies getting the word out and continue to create products to make our routines easier and quicker.
