Purchased this seat to replace a wood seat. The paint finish wasn't holding up to being Cleaned, and we were so tired of the seat, or lid being accidently dropped. Every time I hear that, I'm thinking I was going to have to buy a new Toilet from the Seat Slamming down and cracking the bowl.I thought to myself, I want a seat that will be easy to clean, never slam, and be able to sit on without worrying about the thing cracking .Well, I've finally found what I think will be the Perfect Toilet Seat... You don't really think about these things, but everybody uses them. Here is my quick evaluation.First ( Finally) we have a Toilet seat that won't be accidentally slammed down ever again. This seat closes slow and smoothly. Second this is All Strong Poly Plastic , with the color all the way through , so I don't have to worry about the paint coming off when cleaning, and being Plastic, it's more hygienic than the wood. Speaking of Cleaning, this seat is easily removed off the posts for total cleaning. At first I thought the mounting hardware was a bit overkill, but after installing, now I think they got it just right.I know , longish review for a Toilet Seat, but I really think Bath Royale has a good premium seat here that will last a long time and be easier to keep clean. Oh, and the Color matched our Toilet spot on. Five Stars to Bath Royale !

This review is about the ROUND Toilet seat in a color - Almond-Bone.While this is a brand new product for me, I am already impressed and expect it to be all that the company says it is over time. I think it will because...IT HAS A 2-YEAR WARRANTY! That is impressive in this day and age.BENEFITS I like:1. VERY well packed!2. CLEAR instructions3. EASY Installation4. EXCELLENT Seat Hole Size. What is that?It's the hole in the seat itself. It was VERY HARD to find a description for a slow close toilet seat that provided the dimensions from other manufacturers, but Bath Royale provided the information, which attracted me to the product. In this case, size DOES matter! Although the seat I bought is for a ROUND toilet, Bath Royale managed to ELONGATE the opening to accommodate certain male characteristics (use your imagination to figure it out).My previous -- all wood bamboo -- toilet seat had a hole size that was too small. The longer size front - to - back is important for males who need the extra room in front! Bath Royale provides it!5. SUPPORT. There is a card in the package with a toll free number. If anything is missing, or I need additional parts, I can call them and they will send me replacement parts for free.6. CUSTOMIZABLE! The seat is designed to fit a wide range of toilets, and the ingenious hinge latching system is the key. It also comes with SILVER and COLORED hinge covers (you choose which one. I like the colored ones).7. EASY CLEAN. The entire lid/seat lifts out with the touch of a button, so I can take it to the sink to clean it -- instead of leaning over the toilet, or getting down on hands and knees to clean. GREAT!8. COLOR MATCH! I have an almond toilet. This seat matches perfectly.DRAWBACKS:1. Lid has a "rim" that can be irritating to my back. Not sure how they could have avoided that, but I did notice a ridge pressing into my back when I leaned back. It's not TOO irritating, just would have been nicer if that surface was more flat or ergonomic.That's the only, and very minor, drawback I can think of.Overall: A+ Product!

I first purchased a Bath Royale elongated toilet seat about 2 and a half years ago and purchased my third last month. All of our toilets now have one so obviously we like the product.Pros: The seat is easy to install. Getting the old one off will probably be the hardest part of the process. It took me about 15 minutes to install the last one. It is easy to clean. It is durable and there are no parts that will corrode. The oldest one looks and functions as if new. Color match is good but this depends on the toilet and how much shade differences bother you. The color match on my American Standard toilet is excellent. On my Eljer toilet the seat is a lighter shade. I wouldn't say obviously lighter because you won't notice it at a glance but you don't have to look too closely to see the difference. It isn't enough of a difference that it bothers me or my wife but I can imagine it might bother some people.Cons: There's really only one and even it will only be a con for some people. The seat is plastic and if you like the solid, sturdy, heavy feel of old-style toilet seats this might bother you. Not that this seat isn't sturdy, it is, but it doesn't have the same 'feel' as the older type seats. I wouldn't stand on this seat where I might on an older style one but standing on it isn't what I bought it for. This plastic vs old style seat issue might bother you and it might not. I'll put it this way though, the seat I just replaced was one of those old style 'quality feel' seats. When my wife said she wanted it replaced because the hinges were corroding she told me to get the Bath Royale seat.

Nice sturdy product. But a tad complicated to install. Even need a tape measure. Good instructions, but do you really need or want a multiple-page instruction pamphlet to install a toilet seat?

This lid is great. I've had mine for over a year. No more slamming! Just pull down on the lid and walk away. It gently closes itself . Easy to install and fits perfectly on my elongated commode. Great value!
