Everything you need to replace metric threads. Nice case, you get all the drill bits, taps and thread inserts. Makes repairing threads a snap. I had some stripped out threads on aluminum on my dirt bike and this was a fast quick repair.

Product worked as advertised. I overtorqued 3 M8 bolts where a power steering pump mounts and stripped the threads. The included drill was a precise size and easily drilled out the threads. The tap fit in easily and was easy to make the new threads. The thread coil screwed in easily. I remounted the part to the engine and torqued to 22 ft/lbs. Saved me from catastrophe.

This kit is a good kit for beginner and hobbyist use. It works especially well for repairing threads in aluminum castings, such as oil pan, valve cover, and transmission pan bolts -all of which are notorious for stripped threads. I have repaired several dozen threads with this kit thus far.The inserts are well made, and fit and function great. the installation tools likewise. The drill bits, while the correct diameter, and made of rather soft steel and do not drill very well, even when new. I have re-sharpened them a couple times, but they do not stay sharp long, still struggle to drill any form of cast iron or steel. I would recommend upgrading to more premium drill bits if you intend to do much thread repair work in any metals other than aluminum and zinc. The taps are a little dull, but they do cut steel and cast iron okay, and I haven't been able to break any of them.Overall, this kit is a great value and comes with a good assortment of the most common thread sizes you will likely encounter on automobiles.

I had a stripped out anchor stud thread-hole in the aluminum engine case of my old trusty Honda HRX217 lawnmower. This long double threaded stud’s threads were not damaged. There are three of these studs that holds the recoil starter and flywheel shroud to the engine. I got this kit and followed the directions, drilled out the bad thread hole and inserted the correct thread insert and the stud is solidly anchored now! So far so good and the Honda is back in service!!PLEASE NOTE: These kits do not include a “tap-holding-tool” so you will need to find a way to hold the thread-tap solidly and straight if you don’t have a tap & die set with the proper tool. Fortunately, I have a full tap & die set and it was not a problem for me to do the job.NOTE: Amazon/Seller needs to make the absence of the tap-holding-tool clear in the product description.

I did not use it for an auto repair but it work as claimed on a different repair. Seems well manufactured. Easy to use. Waiting on another part to see if new threads hold up. Only used once. Reasonable price for the tool kit that does a special type repair.

Even though I have only had to use it twice, it’s great to have around at an affordable price!Beats name brand price wise and works perfectly!
