Nothing that stopped me from keeping the product though.

**Q: What is so special for rice .**
A: You can get a good amount of rice in one scoop without the rice falling off the spoon and then it releases well too.  And I like the look of it.  Very handsome.

**Q: Stipple is it worth the extra price**
A: I think it is.  It's very practical and good looking.

**Q: Will the Staub rice paddle scratch the inner non-stick surface of the zojirushi rice cooker?**
A: It shouldn’t scratch. The silicone coating makes it scratch resistant. It’s very well made & pan friendly!

**Q: Is it Dishwasher safe ?**
A: This item should only be hand washed, never placed into the dishwasher. This is because of the wood handle

The little nodes are on both sides and I would have preferred them just on one side. You kind of need a rice spoon like this if you plan on removing plain rice from cast iron pots. Nothing that stopped me from keeping the product though.
