I put this on my freshly washed face each morning. Granted, it does take a while to soak in so if you're in a rush to apply your make up and dash out the door, it might not work well for you. However, because I do rise with enough time, it has plenty of time to soak in and when I put on my makeup my face is "ready". It's very hydrating and has really helped in a couple of persistent dry spots on my face.Note: You do NOT need a lot. A little goes a long way and if you do put on too much, you will be left with a greasy face for longer than normal. So show some restraint and use a little.I will buy it again once my jar gets low
