But I use six different stones. And four diamond impregnated ones. I use it on all. I've found this product creates much less mess. It wipes away easily. Where oil leaves a film. Also, it is consistently producing a great result. I think as long as you preferred media is not absorbent. It will do a good job. **Q: So this stuff would be good for a jade stone sharpening/honing stone?** A: Jade is soft so be careful when applying pressure. Wowsers what a difference it immediately made!. These 2 products were made for one another It radically increased the speed I can sharpen my chef's knives and makes the whole sharpening experience easier There are a few similar on the market but for the crazy inexpensive price for the amount I totally recommend buying one or two..
