Great pot came pre-seasoned and ready to use. Surface is smooth which is the best part. Love the pot!

Needed a griddle for my cooktop but also one to double as a baker for biscuits and flat breads cooked in the oven at high temps. I use this pan almost daily for these needs and is quick and easy to clean.Greater Goods has some very good videos on cleaning, storing and seasoning of cast iron.

Easy to clean. Cooking surface is nice… bottom is very rough though, so it snags cloth rags/ paper towels and such. Initial seasoning wasn’t to good as they use flax oil which is not my preference. But after re-seasoning it a couple of times. The cooking surface is great I cook eggs, meat, pancakes and such and it slides right out. With a lil butter/ oil everything cooks nice and I know that this pan will last me a a lifetime. Very sturdy.

Today I made pancakes with 1 egg, milk, vanilla, leftover cornbread from Thanksgiving, my favorite pancake mix and roasted corn from Trader Joe's. Tomorrow, probably zucchini pancakes. Last weekend, it was the pancake mix with one grated apple. The 1 egg, milk and the pancake mix are the basics. I've been using a 10” non-stick pan and finally decided to look into getting a legitimate griddle pan. Searching Amazon, all I could find were pans with a rough cooking surface. There were stories of people DIY grinding the cooking surface themselves (why aren't these cast iron companies making pans with smooth surfaces?) So I kept looking and found this pan by Greater Goods and I LOVE IT! I've been using coconut oil and butter to keep the pancakes from sticking, but I left that off with the last batch and still nothing stuck. I love that the pan has a half-inch rim so nothing escapes. The pan just makes sense. Thank you!

This pan (griddle) does it all. Pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, biscuits, bacon... and that's just in two weeks! This pan is unique in today's world of cat iron. The bottom is almost as smooth as a pan owned by my great- grandmother. Cleanup is a delight. A paper towel for me and flaxseed oil for the pan. Thank you grater goods for bringing the past back to life!!!Ps. It's the perfect size for 2 grilled sandwiches!

Do yourself a favor and get this pan. It’s sanded which makes it wonderful like your grandma’s iron skillet. and it’s a great price! Just cook fatty foods to keep it seasoned and you’ll love it. It’s not for fat free cooking and will stick unless you heat it first and then add something with oil or fat in it. I can fry eggs in this without sticking!
